Excellent buy from the merchant, very happy with the deal, the shipping turnaround, and the quality and performance of the product. The only thing to be wary of (and an experienced wrench man/woman, which I am not, would pick up this without a second thought), is that the included install instructions, while very thorough in regarding the removal of the factory airbox, do omit one or two VITAL steps necessary for completion of the installed product. Specifically the reconnection of the airflow sensor as affixed to the intake tube BACK to the wiring leading to the car's ECU. Again, this is a common sense thing to do for an experienced mechanic, but if you are a novice relying EXCLUSIVELY on the provided instructions, you will very likely overlook this step as it is NOT included.Having said that, the installed product works like a charm. (Generally) easy install, no specialized tools required, should take less than an hour. SOLID construction for the intake tube, and the inclusion of a wrinkle-black housing for the filter and connection of the car's stock ram induction tube sets this product above many (and surprisingly there are many intakes designed for an econobox like the Nissan Cube) competitors' designs. D-Sport Magazine tested this product a few years back and found it to be one of the better choices available for Cubes equipped with the CVT gearbox (which is most of them, including my own), with steady horsepower gains found throughout most of the range where everyday driving is done; this is what you want with a car that was never intended to be modded out as a 10-second car, and Takeda does a good job of delivering it in an all-around solid package.

I tried throwing together cold air intake parts to make a cold air intake from the local parts store. That does not work with the 2010 cube. The cube needs properly tuned pipe length and diameter or your intake will make pops and engine will bog at full throttle and have an overall reduced engine power. The takeda is the answer. It even has the maf adapter built in. The takeda sounds kind of like a supercharger when you hit the rpm it makes noise at. It's awesome.

Definately improvement in acceleration and torque. Sound quality is ridiculous above 3000rpms. Its loud enough but can be quiet as necessary. Would recommend. (Bought this piece for my 1.8L Nissan Versa 08).
