Chalk Ink 6 mm Chalk Marker, White (IN16WWCHLK)

Editing this review to five-stars... Originally I posted a one star review, because I couldn't get the pen to work. Requested refund, it was granted immediately without me having to return the pen. I was still upset so I wrote a negative review. Then I tried the pen one last time. I shook it as hard as I could and slammed it on the kitchen counter a dozen times, I mean hard, but that finally got it working. I had received it like a month before and stored it upright without opening it all that time, maybe that made the fluid inside settle too much. Anyway, it writes absolutely beautifully, it's really high quality, way better than the other chalk pen I've been using. I wish I could reverse the refund because now I feel really bad I got this thing for free. I will buy more. Thank you to Wet Wipe for the great pen.

I got a super cheap chalkboard in the Dollar Spot at Target and wanted a chalk marker to write my events so they're actually legible, and this has worked great!Every time I write on the board, I rub my daughter's sidewalk chalk over the board, erase it so there's still chalk dust on it and write with the marker. I've left the marker on for up to a month and every time I've erased it's come off cleanly. I do need to use water on a paper towel to get it off. Then I'll get it all chalk dusty again.The writing looks crisp and clean.I've decided to write my countdown numbers with sidewalk chalk because it's so much faster to erase that I'll actually keep with with that every day.Overall I'm really happy with my marker!

I'm so happy to find this product on Amazon! Used this marker at Starbucks and it's still the same perfect chalk marker. The ink is the perfect consistency that's beautifully white opaque, and you can make the lines thicker or to fill between lines. Just remember to shake it! It dries nicely and best of all -- easy to erase! Just use water. I used this for my DIY wedding welcome sign and can't believe I pulled it off. Worth the extra $$$.

VERY PIGMENTED just like chalk but way better. Writes very well and easily. I love the tip of this pen bc it is slanted and allows you to write very small and thin or you can use the whole tip and write big, you can even do somewhere in between. They are very thick and have a lot of "juice" in them so i know they'll last a while (I've had mine for a couple of months already and use it almost every day and it's still going strong). Very versital, just what I was looking for to make my labels. They don't come off super easy just with your finger or anything (unless you try immediately after writing then they will) but once they dry, they dry nicely and stay in place, which is why i like them. To get them to come off after they've dried just spray some rubbing alcohol on them and they'll come right off. Very happy thank you!

Works really well when writing, but didn’t stay on my acrylic surface. It started to crack about 10 minutes after writing. Thankfully it’s water-based, so I was able to erase it. I will try again on a different surface.

Great coverage and very opaque white color. It's also lasted me forever (a few years now) and gives a great handmade touch to my chalkboard labels in my pantry and chalkboard gift tags. The tip is not too thick, so you can get pretty detailed in your drawing and writing, but it is thick enough so you get a nice prominent mark on the chalkboard.It is a bit more difficult to wipe off than a regular chalk stick, but I think most chalk markers are like that. Most of my labels have a ghost image of the previous markings, but once I write over it again, the crisp contrast between the black chalkboard and bright white marker is big enough to hide the old markings.

My husband claims we need labels on everything. On the outside of our cherry wood cabinets, on the fridge, everything! Our compromise was large glass jars on the counters for cereal and things like that, and on them, black chalk labels. I tried regular chalk, and one other brand of chalk markers, and none of them worked well. The regular chalk wiped off too easily, and the other chalk markers never wiped off. The Chalk Ink Marker 6mm Chalk White product was perfect. When I used it on the labels I just made sure to keep the jars flat (the labels were already attached) just to make sure they didn't run, but they look great. It took a lot of shaking in the beginning, just like the directions say, but after that were a piece of cake for precise nice lines. I also have a miniature chalkboard in our home for tiny quick messages, like Happy Holidays, and it worked perfectly. I didn't lay that down flat when it was drying, so I probably didn't need to worry about it running with the labels either. Would definitely recommend!

I bought the Chalk Ink Marker after hearing about it from a friend. I was trying to figure out how stores had such nice writing on their signs but it was in Chalk. After reading the reviews on this marker I bought the white one. I used chalk paint on top of the backing from a old picture frame. I did a couple coats. Once I got the marker I did a test spot on my chalkboard. I waited an hour and wiped it off with water. It came off with no problem. I then decided to do another test spot and leave it for a couple of days. I then wiped it off with water but it did not come off, so I used a magic eraser (like the Chalkink website suggests) and it came off! I'm super happy with the product and know I will get great use out of it! It also writes smooth! Which gives the chalkboard a clean look! I will definitely use this product again and get more of the colors!
