Greatly Improved Product + Fast Service
I've used Nauticus stainless tabs on two prior yacht tenders, and found they do a great job of putting the boat on plane quickly. For my latest tender (11 foot Caribe with 30HP) I decided to try Nauticus' new composite version. The new version is much easier to install. Instead of dealing with a bag full of bolts and templates to get the right angle, the new tabs assemble quickly and are very quick to mount on the transom. All screws are one size (only one drill bit needed), and the bolts on the tabs are also common so a minimum number of tools are needed. I completed the install in about 20 leisurely minutes. After waiting a day for the sealant to cure, a test ride showed that once again the Nauticus solution is a great addition to any tender - the boat planes much more quickly and remains stable in the turns. My last comment is about Amazon's service - it typically blows me away with how fast they can deliver product. I went to my local West Marine superstore on a Sunday and they didn't have the Nauticus tabs in stock, and it would take them about 2 weeks to get them. So Sunday night I ordered from Amazon, and they were on my doorstep on Tuesday morning. I've had even faster service on other orders when my products were delivered in one day before the local stores would even be open. Amazing!Great product, super service.

Great investment for Stern heavy boats/tiller.
Installed on my 2000 G3 1648. Engine is a 25hp XD with a 4 blade solas with double cup 13" pitch 10" diameter. Engine lifted 3/4" inch above the bottom of the hull. Installed with the PR500 upgrade worked really good. Installed tabs 5 inches in, extra plating was located there by the manufacturer and they fit perfectly within the plate. The plating is from the transom, in 5 inches inside the vessel, then 90 degree to the bottom of the hull, and about 5 1/2" wide.Speed:I did not receive a speed boost, still at 27mph constant at WOT. With myself 350lbs, fuel and battery in the back, two batteries and trolling motor up front with the mid live well filled. Boat weight was distributed evenly side to side. Standard light fishing setup for me.I have an extra duty engine (mercury 25XD), the lower unit is beefed up, at lease double the width of a standard lower unit. So I have hit my hull speed limit. I am going to try swapping with a standard 18hp lower unit to see what happens, with a 3 and 4 blade prop. I did try a few settings but this was the best all around is 26.5mph handling/hole shot/slow plane speed maneuvering. :)Handling:I reached plane at quarter throttle, 12-13mph very quickly without even trying. The old plane speed was half throttle at 18mph. They also dampened running in a chop and across wakes. She acts completely different, very minimum bow rise, stable, no porpoising. Exactly what I wanted.Update 8-2015: Four Blade did the best all round. I was out in Matalacha pass, FL. They worked great! We had a very choppy sea in the channel, running from a storm at the end of the day. They kept the bow down and damped the blow into the chop. This was with me and a friend on the back seat and full fishing payload (max capacity.) He has been out with me before and has a bad back and neck, he said it was night and day difference. The only change I made, I lowered the engine one pin hole to get the bow down faster. This meant I did not have to make the change while on the water.

Works Better Than Expected
I bought these and installed them on my 14' aluminunm boat. I have a 25hp four stroke engine on the boat this is heavy and probably too much engine for the boat as the previous owner that I bought it from beefed up the transom and installed this engine on it. Prior to installing the Nauticus Trim Tabs my boat would raise up to about 50 degrees from a dead start and then porpoise continually on smooth water. I set these to the 3rd setting and now the boat is dead level on hole shot and is rock solid at top end with no bouncing whatsoever. It also accelarates so quickly now that I have to warn passengers to hang on when I apply the throttle or they lose their balance since all I have are bench row seats. My boat now turns better in the water at high speed and the difference is like turning a Ford into a Ferrari. I so glad I went this route versus installing a hydro foil on the engine as these trim tabs make a huge difference and I like the fact that they are adjustable and can be fine tuned to the ride you want from your boat. This is the best money that I have invested in my boat so far. There are easy to install and make the boat function so much better.

Works good so far
This product has given my homemade 17 foot ( but narrow) boat a new life when 3 people are on board . With my wife (125pds) sitting behind me and son at bow the boat struggled to plane flat. Not any more , bow comes down super quick and planes flat at lower speeds . But with only 2 people ( me in middle and son in bow seat) I don't need these deployed so I opted for the the 48 dollars PR 500 bracket assembly. I Frequently pull this boat up on sand bars etc and I don't want those tabs down getting stuck in sand . Construction wise, seems well built. I will update as I log more hours around the Talbot islands ,NE Fl.

Great product
I seldom write reviews but this one worked so well that I had to. Just finished the complete rebuild of a 1969 GW Invader mini boat. Spent over $10,000 on it only to have it take forever to plane out. Was skeptical that these plastic tabs could or would make that much of a difference. Took less than 30 mins to install and was super easy and straight forward. The boat now planes out at about 1/2 throttle in only a few seconds with two adults in it. These smart tabs worked as advertised. Makes driving my mini boat a lot of fun.
