FOOD WARS! THIRD PLATE

Season 3 starts off with soma challenging one of the the council of ten kuga to a middle food wars. Then the series takes a dark turn with the introduction of the main antagonist of the series Erina's abusive father who starts a coup d'etat. Taking over the academy and focusing his twisted view of 🍳 cooking on the entire student body. Focusing them to cook his way, and anyone who opposes them is expelled. Resulting in Erina and Soma leading a rebellion against her father and his loyal ten. The ultimate food war is about to begin.

Loved it just wish they would make more episodes.

Why didn't I see it earlier? The blood sport cooking tournaments, the obsessive kitchen training sequences, the goal of mastery in the vital but esoteric science of taste -- FOOD WARS! is a kung fu series with the Totsuki Fine Dining Academy standing in for the Shaolin Temple, that legendary training ground of future martial arts masters. Over the course of three seasons, I've learned more about the science and aesthetics of haute cuisine than I ever thought I'd need to know, but it wouldn't mean much if the story arcs weren't so gripping, the humor so sharp, the characters so likeable, and our star Soma Yukihira such an appealing folk-hero-in-training, a young Wong Fei-Hung in a chef's apron.The cooking battles in season three have even higher stakes now that a tyrannical new Director has made it a priority to expel Soma and his friends by any means necessary. The season breaks off in mid-storyline, leaving us hungry for season four -- very appropriate, don'cha think?

Loved it! Found out this DVD had already been available for several months BEFORE the Season-3 finale aired on Cartoon Network in July 2021. The DVD has two Language options: English speaking, & Japanese-speaking with English subtitles. The main difference is that the opening & closing credits are in Japanese, but it is still the SAME VOICE actors going back to Season-1. HIGHLY recommended for US fans of hte show.

Found this series by accident on Amazon prime and watched the available episodes. I have since bought the entire series thus far available. Every episode is exciting and you just don’t want to put it down, truly a binge worthy show.The item was excellently packaged and arrived free of damages or defects. It also arrived on time.

The only issue I had with this order is I thought there was to be an English option on the audio. Had to turn on the subtitles instead. Otherwise it would have gotten my full rating

This is by far my favorite season! It comes in both dub or sub!

Food Wars 3rd Plate finally arrived! Am still trying to return the same BlueRay (region 2) for German players I ordered in error and am trying to return for credits.What a pleasant surprise to continue watching Soma & Friends battle it out over fine dining. Enjoy

Love this series, but it does not say here what region this DVD is. It is a region 1 and not 2. I think it is important that it says what region it is.
