Comfortable and practical
A good rucksack that is very comfortable. Plenty of pockets for everything from short walks to camping trips. Not sure durability and inside stitching looks cheap but time will tell.

Happy with my new backpack
Got it to travel around Europe with carry on size luggage and it really does the job. There is a lot of pockets, space enough for one week traveling and the backpack itself seems very durable. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Great value mid-sized rucksack...
It's always a treat to purchase something sight unseen that lives up to expectations - this rucksack does just that!I'm not a 'serious' walker but I do like to have some decent kit without it costing a fortune as this rucksack will likely be used for a mix of walking and travelling (planes, boats and trains, etc.). This is really good value for a well-made product that has been designed to be practical, rather than for appearance alone.Size: unpacked, the sack measures 55cm tall x 35cm wide making it suitable for most airline carry-on. It should easily expand to between 10-15cm when packed which would make it a tad smaller than the claimed 40 litres, but fine for me. The overall material is a subdued burgundy and grey - which I like - and the fabric a polyester Oxford weave that appears pvc backed for water resistance. The external zippers are YKK brand and either water resistant type (if exposed) or heavy duty with a rain flap. Looks good enough for showers, and the integral rain cover (detachable) provides additional rainproofing for the serious masochists and English-people-who-walk-in-rain amongst us... This has clearly been designed for at least a little bad weather! There is one main, internal compartment, accessed by two large zipped openings top and bottom, within which is a small elasticated compartment for ones small items. The semi-rigid back panel is permanently built-in unlike some rucksacks which feature a removable panel - not a problem on a sack this size, I feel. Additionally there are two external zipped compartments: one at top rear which would be good for paperbacks, docs, sarnies, etc.; one centre rear just about big enough for a passport and smartphone (and although not secure, quite tricky to get into) - this pocket is like a flap with velcro, under which is the so called "hidden pocket for valuable items"... Seriously? It's barely hidden and is actually the easiest pocket to access... I might use this for maps or non-valuable stuff, perhaps a Mars bar or chewing gum... and finally two obligatory mesh pockets for water and - beer! Or gloves, scarf etc. Overall, these pockets and access points are rational, well-designed and practical. Top marks. The overall construction is good, mid-range quality - I can't see anyone hitting the Himalayas with this on their back, but it looks fairly robust before use. Quite a few external attachment points are available for walking poles or bedrolls and the chest and waist straps look to be of appropriate robustness and with decent adjustment available.I'm happy - can't wait to get it stuffed and go somewhere.... :D

Budget backpack for short-medium trips away
I bought this to go backpacking in the Baltics for a few weeks. You can fit quite a lot in it - 3 pairs of jeans, 5 t-shirts, a digital camera, toiletries etc. My bag weighed about 7-8kg and with the various clips you can distribute the weight around your chest and shoulders. The straps can also be used to compact the bag, I was able to take it on as a small rucksack for my flight - Ryanair policy. Nothing has started coming away or is damaged. I had the chance to use the rain cover which was easy to use and covered the entire bag. Overall very happy!

Really nice day pack
Great day pack , plenty of pockets , side letting is large and can fit 2 water bottles in each which is a bonus.Back section is comfy. The whole pack sits quite high , and as such the waist belt is higher than most but not at all uncomfy.

Good size. Easy access
Looked at loads of reviews before buying this one. I specifically wanted a 40l backpack for commute to work via bike, train, tube, bus and walk. It's worked well. Pretty rainproof too. There's pockets on the back for easy access and the inside is free for storage. I can easily fit 2 days change of clothes, laptop, shoes and everything else I need. There's a pocket in top which is just the right size for a pair of headphonesI like the waist strap - especially when cycling. All in all, very glad I went with this rucksack for the money.

Brilliant value for money
Really happy with this bag. Was looking to get a medium sized hiking bag/suitcase for camping and train travel and this is ideal. It has decent padding and the hip and chest straps work well. The buckles are a little more fiddly to adjust than on other bags I’ve seen but it is manageable. This fits a good amount of stuff and the outer straps allowed me to strap my small sleeping to the outside (although does slightly restrict the inside storage). The top straps seem just a touch too small for me to find a use for them however although they do juuust stretch to my water bottle which I guess would allow me to use the side pockets for something else. The rain cover is super handy and just manages to stretch over both water bottles and sleeping bag strapped to the outside. Haven’t had chance to test it’s waterproofing yet but it appears decent so far. Zips slide pretty well and a good amount of pockets. Overall very happy with this for the price.
