Step up to one of the best
These guys make a very nice knife. Some are even rust proof, and they have both expensive and budget knives.

Not Spyderco at all
Cheap. Equal to something from a 25 cent candy machine toy. Immediate return!

This knife was a gift to my son. He was pleased.
He had put this on a wishlist.. It was exactly what he wanted for his 54th birthday.

For an affordable Spyderco, this is a great knife!
Spyderco makes a wide range of tools, from everyday use for basic ropes, boxes, etc to highly specific rescue knives, and I have owned a wide assortment. This mixed-serrated edge is great, lightweight, easy to open with either hand, and a large thumb hole. Great knife design!

As Good As Spyderco Delica
I asked my wife to buy this for my birthday, and she bought it on Amazon. This knife is as good as the Delica, which is not saying much. I gave the Delica one star because it is hard to open and close. The Delica has proven to dull easily and be hard to sharpen. I haven't dulled the blade of my Meadowlark yet, even though I have cut through some heavy boxes and done some trimming of garden plants with it. I did touch it up with a ceramic stone afterwards, however. Anyway, for pocket carry, I do like that the Meadowlark is light in weight and not thick. I also like the ergonomics of the opened knife in the hand. The thumb grooves on the back of the blade give a secure feel. I clip it into my pants pocket when I go outside and while fishing. If I lose it over the side of my kayak, I will only be out about one third the cost of a Delica. I really don't like the fact that it is so hard to open with one hand, and the bird shaped hole is worse on my thumbnail than the round hole of the Delica, which is just as hard to open. Neither knife has broken in with respect to ease of opening and lubrication improves them only slightly.

Great value and quality
I love the Spyderco Delica and have a couple but wanted a more economical option in a combination blade for gardening and working around the house. This combination edge is great and very handy for snipping off rose buds, etc. The feel in hand is very good as well. Not quite at the level as an original Delica, but also a third of the price so really cannot go wrong. For the price, I don't think you'll find a better value.
