TsunodaPM-120 Precision Diagonal Cutting Pliers, 5-Inch

I worked in the electronics industry for over 30 years, and for part of that time I was in charge of buying hand tools for the development lab. It was always tricky to choose a decent pair of diagonals. They had to be comfortable, accurate, and able to handle continuous use snipping wires and leads of a variety of components --but not so expensive as to cause excessive drama when some fool used them to cut a tungsten probe.If Tsunoda had been available, these diagonals would have been standard issue.The quality/price ratio is impressive af. They look good, they feel good, they do a perfect snap cut. Tungsten will still crater them no doubt, but they're rated for 12AWG copper.I'm very happy to have found these cutters for my home bench... now I'm eyeing the rest of the Tsunoda line.

Good flush cuts work really well on zip ties and small wire would not recommend using on larger wire

I really enjoyed using these cutters, worked just as good as my lost Snap On cutters. The problem came after a couple weeks when the spring on them fell out and after that, the rubber on the handles started ripping. It's not easy using them now without the spring. Wish these were like the Snap Ons where they replace them, when available, if anything like that happens.

I bought this as an upgrade to my other two flush-cut snippers that use the riveted construction. Most of the cheaper ones use that, and it will eventually get out of alignment, especially as you cut harder materials. I use these for snipping off electronic parts leads. Some of those are hard materials, not soft like wire. These Tsunodas use a thick steel bearing surface to pivot on (don't know the exact term) and are as tight as when I first bought them. The two sides of the blades stay perfectly aligned. The blades themselves also appear to be harder material as well, since they have no nicks yet and my cheap ones do.

Best mini precision’s I’ve owned to date. Use them very often with micro projects cuts smooth and straight.

Sharp blades, precise alignment, excellent quality. More expensive, but worth every penny.

These are excellent for stripping extremely thin gauge wires without cutting a single strand of the wire. Incredible build quality (as expected for a tool made in Japan). The jaws line up perfectly when closed and the action is smooth. Highly recommended.

I have used many diagonal cutting pliers, and this is one of the best. The high quality finish, the perfect alignment of the jaws, and comfortable grips are all exceptional. Definitely worth the money.

Not a good cutter. You can see through the sharp edge, which means it is not well sharped and the cutting surface is uneven. It cuts at one end but not at the other.

娘が歯列矯正を始めたが、時々ワイヤーを切断しなければならない。初めは私の工具箱に入ってるフジヤの普通のニッパーを使わしていたが、大きすぎて口の中での取り回しが困難だったため、コンパクトなニッパーの購入を検討切れ味は抜群で、娘が自分で鏡を見ながらワイヤーをカットするにはちょうどよいサイズ大変満足しております

アクセサリー制作に使用していますが、新しいので。。なのか、綺麗にカットできます。わたしは主にワイヤーのカットに使いっていて、太くて0.4mmくらいです。たまにQピンのカットにも使いますが0.5mmくらいかな？この時は少し力を入れないと切れづらいです。あとは長く使えたらなーと思います。
