What a difference
Knowledge is EVERYTHING.I used this wheel to remove the adhesive stuck to the paint on my truck that was left after removing the body side moulding. Use a heat gun to heat up the side moulding and it will peel right off. That’s the easy part.Learn to use this wheel properly and it will make your job of getting the adhesive off the paint very easy without damaging the paint. Important tip: it is not necessary to use a plastic scraper on the adhesive. It will do more harm than good. Don’t ask me how I know.I used this wheel with the supplied mandrel in my cordless drill. Getting a firm grip on your drill is important. The eraser wheel can chatter on the vehicle surface if you don't have a firm grip. I gripped the drill handle and trigger with my right hand to control the drill trigger speed, and then wrapped my left hand around the drill right behind the chuck. I then rested my right hand against the truck surface and used my left hand to push the wheel against the body panel. This is good form because my left hand controls the force pushing the wheel against the panel, while my left fingers are between the drill and the panel. This keeps the drill chuck from coming into contact with your paint.Turn the drill on high speed and try to keep the contact point of the wheel on the line of adhesive. Use medium pressure with the wheel against the panel. I now use my left hand to slightly move the wheel up and down while using my right hand to slowly push the drill left or right moving thru the line of adhesive. Take your time. After about going over 6 inches of the line of adhesive, stop and take a microfiber towel and rub HARD across the area you went over. The eraser wheel makes a huge mess. It is rubber and flakes off as it works. It will leave a thick tan residue on the paint. That is why it is necessary to have a high quality microfiber towel. It is best to use a short nap microfiber that you can see the individual nubs on the surface of the towel. Rub HARD with this towel to remove the tan residue left from the eraser wheel. This will not scratch your paint. Also know that the eraser wheel will get very hot. This why you don’t want to try to remove the whole line of adhesive all at one time. It needs to cool some. Know that the eraser wheel will smear the adhesive on the paint. That is why you want to keep the eraser wheel moving in an up and down motion as you use it, but don’t use a WIDE pattern because it smears the adhesive further. Some areas of the adhesive will be thicker than others, so it will require a second pass and possible a third pass. Always wipe the area with the microfiber after each pass to remove the residue left by the eraser wheel, otherwise the residue from the wheel keeps building up and you really aren’t getting down to the adhesive.IMPORTANT TIP: it is not necessary to use a wet cleaner or liquid adhesive remover of any kind while using the eraser wheel. If you do, you will only slow down the process. I thought I would be smart and use Goo Gone and 3M specialty adhesive remover after each pass of the eraser wheel after I had wiped off the tan residue left by the wheel. I thought this would further soften the adhesive and make it easier to remove. It did exactly the opposite. It also softened the eraser wheel and made it gummy. It smeared the adhesive more and made it harder to remove. AFTER you have made 2 – 3 passes with the eraser wheel and removed all the adhesive, then you can use goo gone to remove any residue left. Finally use a 50/50 isopropol alcohol/ water mix to remove all reside. I suggest you use a high quality automotive paint rubbing compound to remove any faint ghosting of the paint in the area where the adhesive was. Follow by polishing the entire door panel to blend and match the rest of the paint and then use a wax or sealer to protect the paint.

Big eraser - works great on double sided tape.
This thing is great. Takes a bit to get used to the right angle and how to work it so the bit doesn't come loose. Stripped off 8yr old double sided tape from 4 window visors in less than 30 minutes. Works like a big eraser with no issues to the vehicles paint. Very little residue left behind.

Works great on newer adhesive. Extra effort needed for old adhesive removal.
Works as intended. Fits well with a regular drill. I removed an old spoiler I had on my car for 3 years which led to very old/strong lasting 3M tape. This rubber wheel helped in the removal but has a hard time with “big chunks” of old tape. I would recommend peeling off as much as you can of the adhesive with a knife or whatever then use this to finish up. I also used this on old but more recent adhesive stains on my car and it worked like a charm. I would definitely recommend especially at its price point of under $10.

It works fantastic. Messy, but good results
Used it to remove very old and stuck 3M style double sided tape on side window visors. Works fantastic, somewhat messy but actually works ok.However, do not touch plastic trim in including mirror housing. This is unforgiving on plastic trim pieces!!!!!!It did not bother the paint. I suggest just move the wheel slowly around, or don’t sit in one place. I did not need to apply heavy pressure. Just light too medium pressure. I also used goo off that I purchased at Walmart and clean rags. Wash down area with soapy water, rag and rinse.

Works flawlessly.
I purchased this to remove adhesive from trunk spoiler,it works very well,it fit great on cordless Milwaukee drill, very easy to use and was easily able to do full speed on the drill with no issues. It very easily removed the double sided tape and the adhesive from it. Great quality, highly recommended it.

great price
works great, the people complaining about yellow and orange marks are actually burning the clearcoat from improper use, this is not the fault of the product, but rather the fault of the user. you need to move it or stop before it gets too hot or you will burn your clearcoat, which will need to be wet sanded a buffed to repair it.

Perfect for removing old adhesive and fading vinyl
The media could not be loaded. I had some pin striping that was fading on my old 1995 Chevy K1500, so I wanted to completely remove it. This rubber wheel is only a fraction of the price of the 3M version, so I was a bit skeptical if it would perform well. I’ve never used the 3M version of the eraser wheel, but this one worked great. I’ve never used one before, and it was pretty easy to install on my drill and use. I recommend starting off at a slower speed and slowly increasing because if not the wheel will bounce around. Also, make sure to use two hands to keep it steady and prevent it from vibrating too much. Try not to use a high speed if possible because it will wear down the rubber wheel much faster. I was able to remove the pin striping on the whole truck and the adhesive from the old “silverado” emblems. This wheel worked a lot better on the adhesive. It was way better than having to try and use a blade or goo gone. After using the wheel it may scratch your paint a little, so make sure to have polish and wax on hand just in case. It didn’t bother me much because I’m in the process of compounding, polishing and waxing the whole truck. This wheel made the job so much easier than how I was removing these things before for only a few dollars.
