The lightbulbs are great. And for the price, I couldn't be happier. I had to watch a YouTube video to find instructions to set up the bulbs.The app you need is called Gosund. Once you have downloaded the app you will create an account which is free. Then you will click the plus sign to add your light bulbs. The first option is lighting, so click on that link. Then select the first light bulb icon. You may have to slowly turn the light on and off, then on and off a couple times to get it to flash. Once it flashes you can click continue in the app to pair the bulbs. That can take a minute or two. Then once its paired you can control from the app or add this as a skill in your Alexa app so you can use with Alexa. The bulbs are dimmable, which is a really cool feature that I didn't have with other "smart" light bulbs.

I takes me a few days to figure out how to connect them but I did I've got two in my bedroom lamps. I've got two in the living room lamps and I am trying to figure out where the best spot for the last two need to go. I have them connected to my Google app and having a Google speaker helps where my kids can turn the lights off or on. If we are away from the house I can try the lights on before we get home or if we are some where else over night make it look like some one is home there is always one car here. So they are very helpful I am updating our country home to help make things a little easy and of course my hubby doesn't care for it or at least he acts that way lol but it does help make some life easy just as little as a lightbulb also lower cost on electricity

The bulbs were pretty easy to install. They were the first accessories that I connected to my echo 5. Following the instructions, loading application to smart phone, connecting to Wi-Fi, finding device. yeah took me a few tries. but, I'm happy that when I say Alexa good morning or good night no need to get out of bed. also, the NiteBird has options for schedules to turn on and set to brightness you like.

I am really unhappy with this set of lightbulbs. They were a really good price and the description said they worked with Amazon Alexa and didn’t require a hub (I had already dealt with a whole hub thing), but they didn’t tell me (or I didn’t notice) that you must download a separate app and then jump through a bunch of hoops to integrate things. I did actually download the Nite Bird app— which I couldn’t find at first because it’s not called “Nite Bird” nor “Nitebird” nor “Nightbird” but rather “Gosund.” After I downloaded it I attempted to sync the flashing light, which asks you whether it is flashing quickly or slowly. I suppose that’s relative. Compared to what? Compared to a strobe at a 1970s dance party or a lighthouse beacon? Anyway, The app couldn’t find the Wi-Fi and then couldn’t find the lights and I’m giving up. When I buy other brands that don’t use the hub they may cost more, but I just plug them in and they are connected to Amazon Alexa easily without all this extra effort. Honestly, I don’t have time for this—troubleshooting my lightbulbs and keeping track of separate usernames and passwords for a frigging lamp, however, as I was throwing away the box of two bulbs, I did have to chuckle that it said on it, “Smart Bulb. Make your life easier.”

I originally ordered Sengled bulbs and the HUB but after two days of trying to set it up, I was so frustrated, I gave up and bought NiteBird bulbs instead. I am so very happy I did, after downloading the Gosund app, setup was so easy! I was ecstatic I felt like a tech genius (mind you, this is my first time using Alexa and "smart" anything). When I was setting up the bulbs on the Gosund app, it automatically connected to my Alexa. I highly recommend these bulbs, I was so excited at the easy setup even my 22 year son was impressed I did it all on my own. ;)

When looking for a smart bulb there are three key items of functionality I needed.1.) Brightness and color.These bulbs produce the same color light as incandescent bulbs which is easy on the eyes and natural. The brightness is equal to or surpasses a 75w incandescent bulb which is perfect for everyday use.2.) Google Home integration using the Smart Life application.If you are already using the Smart Life app adding new devices is a breeze and work automatically with Google Home without additional setup. Add a bulb, name it, assign to a room, and it will automatically work with voice commands without any further steps.3.) Full dimming abilityI like to leave my kitchen light on and need it to be dimmed before bedtime, you can easily setup a timer to do this or simply use voice commands through Google Home or Alexa.These bulbs deliver as described with no issues, I will be purchasing again as I have several more areas around the house which could use being a bit smarter.

It is very important you follow the instructions step by step. The most important part is to make sure your power source is turned off. You don't need to turn off your breakers, just make sure the fixture you screw the bulb into is in the off position. You will regret it if you allow the bulb to attempt to sync too early. To reset these bulbs is a complete pain in the butt. I know because I didn't follow the instructions and had to reset all six. Other than that set up is pretty basic. Also, make sure your phone is connected to your 2g and not your 5g before starting the process. This is only day one and so far so good. Everything is working well thru my Alexa Echo Dot (which I already owned). The dimmable function is perfect for the boudior! Yes bright enough so I can tell the difference between dark blue clothes & black.

Love this bulb. Giving it 5 stars all around but the Alexa integration. Really would give it a 5 but it wasn't as easy as hoped. That is only because instructions were not really included to set it up to Alexa. Had to Google it. But I do love it. Just tell Alexa it dim to a certain amount and it does it. This works great since my man does not like much light do to many years welding and I don't like sitting in the dark. So this has been a great addition to the living room.

I would recommend these lights to anyone with smart home capabilities, Easy to set up and install. And great luminosity
