Clover 231 Applique Pins, 150 EA Per Pack

Clover Applique Pins:Some of the reviews make me chuckle. Yes, these ARE probably the tiniest straight pins you will ever see.I REALLY like these over a couple other brands I've tried... Something in the design of the head makes them easier for me to use them with my big clunky fingers... for their intended specialized use (which is pinning fabric applique pieces onto the background fabric securely for sewing... The super-short length helps prevent bulky, jabby "pin-clutter" & catching your thread on the pins as you try to sew quickly... Helps avoid so much need for hand basting... Helps you get projects done in less than years!)Clover just makes reliably good pins. Even if a pack SEEMS like junk, they probably aren't.Last year, I opened a new pack of their long extra-fine glassheads (that I LOVE for most piecing & sewing) that seemed like terrible duds... Seemed dull & didn't pierce fabric smoothly at ALL... nearly TORE through it. I was ticked! But I needed the pins & didnt have the car available to go to store. Worked each one all the way in & out of my coffee grounds packed pincushion & they've been great ever since. (That is: New, unbrewed coffee grounds of any brand, tightly packed in a skinny fabric tube)

These wonderful pins work well without being so sharp that they stick you. I love them and recommend them for pinning appliqué.

Just what I wanted.

I have been doing wool appliqué for years and now I don’t have to struggle with pieces coming loose.

I have been quilting for years, and I have found that these pins meet all my needs. Eveni the package is perfect with a sturdy little chest that clicks shut to avoid scatter. I have stopped on one more than once, and it doesn't shatter like the standard rigid case. The pins themselves are just long enough to do a competent job in pinning work without protruding too far. This prevents most snarls. I keep multiple projects going, and have never returned to one to find rust or broken pin heads. The points stay sharp.When my supply dwindles, I always uh a back supply, because these pins are perfect.

I use these pins for my hand applique.

I bought these applique pins to give to my Mom on her 90th birthday. She expressed an interest in doing some needle turn applique work so I got her some supplies to get her started. I've used these pins before and they were just the right size for applique work. Kudos to my Mom for trying her hand at something new at age 90!

They are what I ordered. Not much else to comment on.

Nice and sharp

Tiny and very sharp, these pins are extremely useful and ideal for applique’ which was why I purchased them and used them for.

I bought these after regular pins had scratched and pierced my hands when making tiny doll clothes. They are perfect, very sharp, don’t get in the way of delicate hand sewing and also handy for sticking directly into my polystyrene dress model when draping. The white pinheads make them easy to see in the fabric (and in particular if you drop them on the floor). They seem expensive but you get a lot and they’ve been pretty long lasting so far. They also come in a handy little box which is surprisingly sturdy.
