Tonareli Shaped Fiberglass Violin Case - Purple 4/4 VNF1010

I bought this for my daughter (13) for Christmas. She LOVES it! She has a full size violin, fits perfectly. She also has two bows that fits perfectly in there as well. She mentioned that it is a lot lighter than her old case (the one her violin came with), and thats the clasps that open and close the case are very good. She says she feels like her violin is safer in there.... that the case won't just pop open. Before buying it, I read reviews where people spoke about a certain smell/odor from it being a new case.... ours never had that. This is a great case!!!

I got this case in purple, and have been stopped many times and asked where I found it. It's really adorable, great for travel, protects my violin even from fellow travelers who are determined to cram in their rollerboards on top of it. Just 2 small(ish) things. If you use the bow slots included, the lower one is too low to use without bending your bow in the neck of the case. Not good. I removed it, using an unloaded glue gun to heat it, and replaced it a bit higher up. Also , 2 of the included carabiners broke within 6 weeks of getting it. I do run around a lot with it and am perhaps hard on cases, but the hardware is a little flimsy. I've asked the company to replace all 4 of them, will post pending that outcome.

Two of my daughters now have these tonareli cases, and they love them. They are as cute as they can be, but also, very protective with a very firm hard shell. Inside is well padded with cool little pocket for rosin. We have the purple and the mint green, but have seen other kids with the blue and the silver, and the colors in all cases are vibrant and beautiful. After one year, we did have to replace the shoulder strap on one of the cases, but that is the only negative I can think of.

The case is sturdy and well made and travels well. It's only drawback is the heavy chemical odor which has persisted for a few weeks. The case comes with a drawstring bag of coffee beans which are supposed to draw off the fumes. I have replaced the beans weekly and still have to leave the case open or the violin absorbs the odor.

Too expensive but met expectations
