Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo , 1 oz

This is only my second dry shampoo. The first one was a Bastise spray but I didn't much like it and only used it a couple of times. Originally I thought a spray would work better because no hands required but then I realized that it's hard to gauge how much is applied if you use a spray. The smell was also sort of strong. Anyway, it's not that it didn't work, it's probably just personal preference.I have black hair and it gets greasy easily. For example, if I wash my hair at night, by the middle of next day my scalp is smelly (I live in a humid environment). So what I'm trying now is to wash my hair at night and apply dry shampoo in the morning because I don't want to go to bed without washing my hair and don't have time and don't think it's a good idea to wash again in the morning.I've only tried this dry shampoo twice and as soon as I smell it I'm in love. LOVE the citrus-y smell! It's also one of the reasons I picked this one after reading a whole bunch of reviews from different dry shampoos. And the pointed cap is really great for application but if you want to get a better idea of how much you're using, pour some in your hands and apply with your fingertips. Even though I'm not good at applying it, it didn't leave my hair looking gray. The cost is a bit on the higher end and the volume isn't that much, but I get a feeling this will last a long while because I only apply it to the crown of my head (the part where it gets smelly) and only so little is needed.

I have chosen to review the powder dry shampoo by Oscar Blandi because I am very satisfied with the product. I would give this product five stars. I have been using Oscar Blandi for 1 year now, and have seen the results first hand.-ProsWhen using Oscar Blandi dry shampoo, I can go many days without having to wash my hair and strip it of its natural oils. When I use this product, my hair looks fresh, clean, and as I have just blow dried it. I do not have to worry about my hair looking oily and greasy. When I do not have to wash my hair every day, I have more time to do more important things.-ConsAlthough not many cons, if there was something I could change about this product it would be the smell. Oscar Blandi dry shampoo has a citrus like smell to it and it is not something I would like my hair to smell like. I would prefer that it smelled like a shampoo or conditioner product. One more con is that is expensive. Even though I absolutely love the product, I would prefer it to be five dollars cheaper.-ComparisonsWhen comparing this product to similar products, it is nowhere near the same. This dry shampoo works like no other dry shampoo I have ever used before. I have used the Pantene Pro V spray dry shampoo and my hair was greasy in one day. Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is the only product of its nature that I will ever use.In conclusion, I would recommend this product to anyone. I have been nothing but satisfied with Oscar Blandi's Dry Shampoo. This is a top of the line dry shampoo and you will not regret purchasing it.

I love the idea of a dry shampoo- especially as it takes about an hour to style my hair from wet to dry. To save time (and energy) I wash my hair every other day and use this product in between- my hair is naturally very fine and very oily so going one day without washing it would be out of the question otherwise.What I like about this product is: 1) the smell is nice and fresh. the other options out there in terms of fragrance have all been too powdery smelling- a scent that I do not prefer and I find to smell a bit geriatric. Not exactly the image I am going for and 2) it is easy to apply. I just use a large powder brush and brush it into my roots and around my hairline. It takes about 3 minutes to apply and brush through. 3) even though I PREFER spray dry shampoo I was getting tired of paying 25$ per bottle only to have the nozzle clog 2/3rds of the way through the bottle. So, this is a better option considering.The only improvement that I could suggest would be tinting the powder to work for darker-haired people as the white color seems to show up in darker hair.For those previous reviews that talked about puffs of powder coming off of their scalp- they are obviously using too much. I would suspect that they are squeezing the powder directly on the scalp (which can be done but requires a good deal of control and finesse of which I have little of either) rather than using a method that would allow them to control the amount applied a little better- as in using a powder brush.

This dry shampoo is excellent. I have tried so many products in the USA and UK and this is by far the best. You can put it exactly where you need it with the thin pointed lid/spout, and as its a powder there's no sticky wet residue like with a spray, you can be sparing and accurate and it just works. The smell is pleasant and not overwhelming too.Without it I'd be washing my blonde oily hair every day, with it I can leave it 3-4 days and it looks good, without looking straw like or over-dry. It gives great body at the roots and doesn't have that chalky look once brushed or rubbed in.A bottle lasts ages too, so much better value than a spray which hardly lasts a few weeks. I use this most 5 out of 7 days a week and it lasts months. Highly recommend

This dry shampoo is a lifesaver! It has saved me a ton of time because often my hair isn't really "dirty", just needs a bit of freshening up. In the past this was solved by doing the conventional "wet shampoo - blow dry - style" cycle, but now all I need is a bit of dry shampoo and I'm good for at least another day, and often two or three. It has a wonderful lemon verbena fragrance, and it easily "disappears" from your hair while brushing (or even just massaging). Doesn't leave any powdery residue, just a refreshed and renewed head of hair! Great product - bought my first in the States, so glad to have it available in Europe via Amazon - hope it's around forever!

Really good although you need be careful that it can leave a bit of white powder on the hair...

I have thin, straight brown hair and my hair gets oily very quickly. When I discovered this I stopped washing my hair every day and it made my life easier. This product is great and the amount will last a long time, for a little bit goes a long way. The smell is a bit strong but pleasant. So what I do is put a small amount on my hair (not directly in the scalp) and let it sit for a few minutes before brushing it. Another good tip is to use it before going to bed, so you wake up with fresh hair and the smell is not strong at all. I had no problems with the vendor and shipping was fast, recommend it!

I thought I was purchasing the larger 2.5 oz bottle, as the price of CAD $30 is the usual price for the 2.5 oz bottle and I received the very small 1oz. Bottle which usually sells for $11 at Sephora. The photo of the bottle advertised shows the cap of the 2.5oz bottle, misleading! Guess I learned a lesson for my next purchase.
