JESWELL Rechargeable Toilet Night Light, IP65 Waterproof 16 Colors Motion Sensor Toilet Bowl Light with Aromatherapy

Our bathroom switches on an extractor fan when the light is switched on, this runs for 20 minutes to extract shower steam. This rechargeable toilet night light is perfect for bathroom visits during sleep time. The sensor picks ups movement from at least 2 metres away and turns on a white light which shows on the floor. In addition a small LED bulb lights up the interior of the toilet bowl. There are 16 colours which can be left to cycle or a specific colour can be selected. It also has a rechargeable battery via USB. This little unit means the main bathroom light does not need to be used in the dead of night.Just over a month since we purchased this light it is now virtually useless. This is the third time now that this manufacture of light has failed. The last time was virtually the same failure as this one. The battery requires more regular charging than when first bought, but more importantly the led light has reverted to just RED; no other colours are available. Therefore I have changed our original rating from 5 stars to one.

So this is the second loo light I’ve owned and wow that’s quite a sad sentence! But I wish to right a decent review so others can described how good they are without this one putting them off. I love a loo light, it makes going in the night so much less intrusive to your rest. I would recommend any night time loo-seeking wanders get one.However this one is definitely not a a great example nor any improvement on my last one which finally died.First off, there a butt load of spelling and grammar errors in the instruction book. I honestly can’t believe it can be that hard to get a decent English translation. Google would have done better.Next the arm that fixes the light in place is a mite too short. I might being harsh here, maybe my bog is to blame, but it doesn’t quite clip the light under the inner rim so the battery pack doesn’t interfere with the seat or, alternatively, hang under the outer rim facing the ground. It’s hard to explain but it’s not a great fit.The issue with it facing the ground is that it is far too sensitive. Any kind of shadow passes over it and it all comes on. The point is that they only come on if the sense movement in the dark.The “aromatherapy” thing is just weird. The tablet smells funny and is far too weak to be smelt anywhere other than your fingers after putting it inside the case. It’s just pointless.Finally the battery pack (the bit outside the loo) is quite big. It wouldn’t matter if I could let it face the ground but then it’s constantly coming on in the day time running it’s charge down.I do like that it’s rechargeable rather than battery powered. I also like the white down light outside and the shape of it over all. It also did arrive promptly.If I had paid half what I did, I wouldn’t have been so critical but it wasn’t the cheapest option and has been quite a disappointment to this seasoned loo-light user.*** update i bought this in may 2021, it’s now august 2021 and it has now broken. 😑***

Once recharging (after about 3 weeks) not all the internal bowl lights works, then once recharged again none of the internal bowl lights work at all. This has happened to all the 5 different identical units I have purchased. I have purchased at least 5 of these over a period of time (on separate occasions) for aiding an elderly person who was residing with us. We cannot smell anything being emitted from the internal fragrance block, waste of time. I originally purchased/used the battery version, but due to these same issues and hoping for a better outcome opted for the more expensive rechargeable version. I will being writing the same review against all my other purchases.

Just what I wanted. Had a battery operated one previously that just died but this rechargeable one is a great idea. Good, bright white light, and lovely colours. Only criticism and why I knocked a star off is that I couldn't insert the air freshener tab. The "lightshade" just would not come off as the instructions suggested.

Only works for a short while then it either stays on all the time or the light in the toilet bowl stays one colour.More junk from the East, all promise but never keeps it.I would not recommend the product as it has a very short life span.

These are pretty neat. We had all but stopped using the bathroom light at night because they do a really good job of lighting the bowl/toilet. Battery lasts ages and the motion detection is spot on (despite my initial apprehension). Only criticism is they don't quite hang properly off our toilet rim, even though the 'arm' for the light is adjustable. Could be an issue our side. Well worth the money.

Worked ok when it arrived but stopped after a few weeks. Like they ALL do, regardless of brand/model. I will continue to try different ones and give 1 star reviews to models like this that simply stop working after a few weeks. It’s terrible for the environment and a false economy as you think it’s “only a few quid”, but you end up having to buy 6 a year because they keep breaking by themselves. They’re almost “disposable” and should be banned unless they’re more robust and last longer.

I wasn't expecting much when ordering this but thought I would give the product a try to save having to turn on the bathroom light in the middle of the night. It is a nice shape and unobtrusive, not some bulky item that you can't miss when you enter the room. The various colours are vivid and so far so good on reliability. We give it a clean and recharge the battery at the same time as when the bathroom requires a thorough clean.
