Easily extends cables
I used the adapter because the standard length cord that comes with the trex post cap lights is too short to reach to the splitter, so I needed to mate an extra length using these. They worked great and did the job.

Works good
Connects two male ends of Trex deck wiring. It’s not the tightest connection so be careful to not knock them loose. I mounted the connections directly below a deck board for added water protection.

Great
This little dual female adapter is a must for creating longer runs on deck lights. Great product

Only good for extending wires
Trex does not make a shorter wire than 5', nor a male-to-male adaptor, and that means the smallest install will drop a lot of current on all the extra wire. I was hoping to use these to bypass one 5' wire by plugging the light directly into the hub using this adaptor... no go. I have the small transformer and 10 thread lights and with all the extra cables I will likely need to splurge on the bigger 100W one. Of course, I could go with a regular lights setup, for a cheaper and more solid build, but that would void the Trex warranty. I don't mind paying for the lights with they own sets, but this smells like a racket. And it makes for a truly messy installation with all the extra wire length coiled between lights. Seriously reconsidering the Trex ligths decision at this point.
