And you don't have to be British to enjoy their musings (although I am from the Antipodes)
Hiliarious beyond belief! And you don't have to be British to enjoy their musings (although I am from the Antipodes). I cant wait for the next instalment. I recommend that you watch a view episodes of Gogglebox to get to know them before diving into their diary.

I wish Giles and Mary were my parents
Where do I begin? I absolutely love these two. They are both so incredibly endearing and relatable. They express what real married life is in a nutshell. They get irritated with each other, but love each other unconditionally. Giles absolutely cracks me up with his snark and wit while Mary counterbalances the relationship with her seemingly endless patience and insight. This was well worth the listen.

Prozac in prose!
Brilliantly funny and surprisingly moving. Both writers have clear hilarious voices that ring with humor and wisdom at life's absurdities.

My favorite couple on the planet !
As an American who in my mind lives in the UK, have for years found "Nutty 1" and "Nutty 2" simply delightful ! For me, it would bring immense joy to perhaps one day see Giles in his garden and actually go to one of Mary's speaking engagement's. My favorite couple on the planet.Acquire this book !!!!

A wonderfully funny read, made me laugh out loud so many times.
What an absolutely brilliant book. It’s hard to think of a book that I have enjoyed more, so much so, having promised to lend it to a friend, I have now decided to buy her a copy instead. She has a habit of disposing of the books that you actually wanted back, and keeping the ones that you didn’t, I don’t want to lose this one.Giles and Mary will be familiar to many as “In a cottage in Wiltshire, Giles, and his wife, Mary” (said in the voice of Craig Cash) from Gogglebox).Mary is also a writer and columnist, as is Giles. Having subscribed to The Oldie magazine, I’d become a fan of both offscreen too. For anyone familiar with their writing, this book continues in the same wonderful vein. A giant diary that, unusually, allows each of them to comment on the entries of the other. That’s not a bad form of marriage therapy, and Mary comments at the end of the book on how it helped her to understand Giles a little more.I have sometimes thought, watching Gogglebox, that Mary can be a little grumpy, and touchy at times. Read this book, and you discover why. The woman deserves a frying pan sized medal, 99% of women would have probably divorced Giles long ago. He does have redeeming features. He’s a superb cook apparently, a dedicated gardener, and, as this book proves, he is the most wonderfully talented artist. The illustrations impending by Giles are one of the absolute joys of this book. I’d known he was an artist from column comments, and remarks on Gogglebox. Somehow, I’d imagined him to be in the vein of Jackson Pollock. Oops. Wrong. The illustrations are absolutely, absolutely gorgeous. There is a pen and ink study of a heron (after Bewick) that is wonderful. I feel as if I have had a grand tour of the cottage, thanks to the illustrations of various rooms. Including the kitchen. It would drive me nuts, and mine is nothing special, with the fridge and the freezer having to be kept in the rear lobby of my house. The book is full of laugh out loud moments, I have a neurological condition that can make laughing painful. I genuinely didn’t mind at the increased pain levels, overall, it raises the spirits wonderfully.I’m late to the party with this book, but do buy it, if you haven’t, yet. If you’ve never seen Giles and Mary, still buy it, for two wonderfully witty and wise writers on life’s foibles. If you do know them, through the television, you will know why Mary puts up with him, and also, what else she puts up with, after reading this!

Gogglebox Legends.
This book is a quiet and understated joy. Simultaneously good natured and acerbic, Giles and Mary give further proof of their unique wit and lack of pretension. Gogglebox has long been elevated by these two marvels, and I downloaded the Kindle version on the strength of my cumulative affection for them. This book is even better than I had hoped. Genuinely hilarious and touching.

Nothing Given Away!
Decided to read this book as an avid Gogglebox watcher wanted to find out more about this intriguing couple.Unfortunately I thought it might be about their life's and how they came together, giving us outsiders an insight into their busy lifes and how they became on Gogglebox!Found it all about their thoughts on things and nothing related much to their past. They didn't give much of themselves away as even changed their daughters names! Thought it a bit weird how it was written in a diary format as it never got me into wanting to read it constantly but continued to read it when at the pool.

Fantastic
I loved reading this book. I loved the diary style, the alternating between the co authors and their complete by honesty. I can see elements of this couple in my life, which brings both joy and comfort. I love the occasional funny bits which happen when something randomly unexpected takes place or is thought . I thoroughly respect Giles and Mary and feel it is a shame more people are not like them. I hope they go on to write another diary. Happy New Year x
