Beautiful hat - but order larger size
Beautiful cap, but I suggest ordering 2 sizes larger than needed. I wear a medium hat (Size 57) so I ordered a 58 and it is snug, wish I had ordered a 59. Note that tying the ear flaps up makes the hat tighter. I also wish they would have used Velcro on the ties. It is a little awkward trying to tie under my chin. You have to make your own holes for mounting the emblem. I bought this as a gift, but it is so nice I will order another for myself.

Nice hat, wrong color
The hat itself is incredibly warm and seems well made. The sizing was spot on. The listing is for a grey ushanka, but I somehow recieved a black one.Edit: After emailing the company that sells these Ushankas, I received a response back almost immediately, and it should be noted that the company stands behind the product with offers of exchange or refunds for 30 days. I kept the black because now that I've worn it I can't stand to not have it while I wait for a replacement. Great hat, great customer service, will recommend to my fellow comrades.

Not what I thought I was getting.
I ordered the "grey" hat and when we received it the hat looked almost blue-ish. The second big problem is that we measured to get the appropriate size with a cloth tape measure and we ordered the appropriate size but when we received the hat it was sooooo small we couldn't even get it to get a little bit beyond the hairline.So if you are taking measurements, add like 2-5cm to make sure it fits.

I've already received several compliments for the hat.It is very warm even without the ear protection down. Quality construction made in Belarus.Definitely buy at least a size larger than you expect as it runs a little small. I rounded up and then chose the next size and it fits perfectly.My only gripe is that the grey has a decidedly blueish ting to it. It still looks great but color looks more like a washed-out gunmetal than a washed-out black.

Great hat, great price
This ushanka replaces one I've had for 16 years. I'm used to wearing 7 5/8" baseball caps in the summer and that translates into size 61 for a ushanka. I googled European hat sizes and came up with a conversion chart online. I got a great hat at a great price and with that recent Polar Vortex, I kept my head warm. I ordered and received the gray hat. This is my first order with ushanka.com (through Amazon) and I'd order from them again. This hat is better crafted than my old one which my next door neighbor is now asking about.

Bummed I didn't buy sooner!
Da Bomb! I love thing. Part practical, part fashion statement. Wish I bought it sooner. After a 60 day arctic oblivion in Oregon plowing snow, I thought to myself "I should get a warm hat..." my 4 yr old says I'm adorable, my 10yr old wants one for herself. My rock star wife transforms into a Eastern European super model when she wears it to the store... if I could give 10 stars I would.

Long trip to Australia but well worth the wait
Bought the largest size even though beyond my recommended fit and my large ears and glasses can make it uncomfortable if lazily put on.Properly fitted and its one of the comfiest things I've ever worn, I will never go a winter without it again

Too Small
Really nicely made, but just too small for hubby's head. I don't think I was all that impressed with the feel of the item. It was pretty synthetic
