I bought this to use as a check bag for when I fly with firearms. Had a close call where a baggage handler had successfully pried 1 of 2 locks on a hard side suitcase. After Alaska Airlines claimed it was normal damage from travel, I upgraded to this. External lock holes with metal reinforcement, smooth rolling wheels, extendable handle, and a bright blue color that doesn’t get lost in the Pelicans.

Like the blue color, easy to locate.

I was looking for a Pelican 1650 locally but found this case online. I am so happy I bought this case. It is a great value, the blue color makes it easy to spot on the baggage carousel and it has been holding up fantastically. The case is 18 months old and I fly with it loaded with tools every other week. It is still like new. The only complaint I have is the handle latch - it's a bit tricky to get unlatched. When my regular suitcase finally needs to be replaced, I will probably buy the orange or tan version of this case.

Overall I am happy with my Seahorse case purchase, and may purchase more in the future.I do not know if it is as good as a pelican case, but for my current use it certainly is more than good enough. If I were looking for a case for air travel/checked baggage I would opt for the pelican based on the lack of metal reinforcement in the pad lock holes of this Seahorse.The lack of reinforcement is the only true complaint I have.lesser concerns are the following: First, I wish the extending handle was more user friendly for one hand operation, its more of a two hand deal.Second, There should be thicker "feet" on the end opposite the pull out handle, just a few days use and it is already pretty scratched up there.Third, I would have liked another handle on the bottom.The price I paid for this case is pretty much ideal, not over priced in any way, and will allow me to customize the case (drill holes, mount "feet" etc.) without the concern of messing up a $$ pelican case.My advice is to look at your intended usage and be honest with yourself if comparing to the more expensive pelican cases.

I have severe food allergies, and when I travel I need to take a lot of food with me. This travel case keeps my food dry and protected. We checked it on an airplane, and we were always asked, “what’s in this”. I guess it may look suspicious(?). It weighs almost 12 pounds empty, so it is not a light weight container, but since I carried mostly dry goods, even full it still came in under 50 lbs. it will be good for road trips as well.

Seahorse cases are great. They are an excellent option for those weary of the Pelican price tags and these cases are build like battle tanks. This is my fourth case and the latches are great, the space is usable and the size of the case allows for cheaper padded divider sets from other manufactures. I have towed $$$$ worth of camera gear behind a canoe in one of these and have hauled $$$$ of guns and ammo through harsh winter camping condition in a couple of them. Very good cases.

Nice hard sided case for a decent price. Was able to contain a 110Ah sealed battery that weighs about 65lbs and some extras. The handle feels a little flimsy, but once case is rolling the handle is not an issue, it is only on the initial tilt, take it slow and it should last. The airtight seal is nice, it's funny hearing the gush of air when taking this sealed at sea level up to high altitudes. Then when you get back from high altitude to sea level, a slight vacuum is formed inside.On a side note, probably not the best case for doing the Schroedinger's cat experiment, the cat will most certainly be expired due to lack of oxygen. :P

Me encanto el producto ya que desde hace mucho buscaba una maleta de este tipo para transportar herramientas aunque me gustaría conocer más productos similares para futuras compras maletas para herramientas con mayor resistencia ya que las uso en aeropuertos y terminales de autobuses.Gracias Saludos.

Muy útil y resistente, los acabados son muy buenos y las ruedas tienen baleros en el centro y por lo tanto corren muy bien, la parte exterior de las ruedas son de plástico y hule.
