They are for boys and girls. I'd assume you would buy a size 4 if you wear a size 4 shoe.

Q: Do I go by the girl or boy size chart since these are unisex? I am a women’s size 6 and I don’t know what size to get in these.

This is made on the kid’s size chart...a women’s 6 would be like a kids 4

Q: How are these on wide feet?

They are tight through the toe area but do stretch out some as you break them in and the lining gets more patted down from wear.
