I love good chocolate milk, but it does not always love me . The Milk part really. When I heard about Slate from friends back in Boston, I was excited to learn it was available on Amazon. Ordering and shipping were EZ. Also LOVE that it does not have to be refrigerated for storage. Taste wise - it's really good especially cold. A little less sweet than what you usually find, but by no means does it taste "diet". For adults - it seems just right, though young kids may be too used the the traditional sweetness. I also taste tested with my teenage niece and nephews and they agreed - "not too sweet" and really tasty. The only thing I would consider changing would be potential smaller portion options or resealable container. All in all - good stuff!

Really didn’t care for the taste. Very watery and tasted like YooHoo. The taste isn’t bad just not what I’m looking for in a protein option. Personally I’d give it a 2 star rating, but feel 3 is more fair. Again it’s not bad. Just not what I would want to buy.

Very good high protein drink. Light and subtle. Good for pre or post workout, meal replacement or refreshing snack. Slight problem with the shipper and seller more than made it right immediately.

Best chocolate milk I ever had. Saw these guys on Shark Tank. I will be ordering more soon.

This stuff is amazing. It’s the perfect drink after a long workout or run. Tons of protein and very little sugar. It also helps that it doesn’t hurt my stomach afterwards. Highly highly recommend!!

This drink is delicious! While definitely buy it again!

The matte finished cans and design are nice, but they feel shallow when the contents taste like watery protein shake - it tastes more like a rehydrated milk product (think a smooth whey protein) than actual chocolate milk. I do think it's better out of the fridge, and acknowledge that the low fat content means it won't have that creamy taste, but in a blind taste test I'd wager this would not be classified as chocolate milk, but more as a "protein-yoohoo". Fairlife tastes much better, which I hate to say as I'd rather support a small business.

Monk fruit apparently tastes like dish soap, at least in the context of this drink.
