Works just as it should, good daylight visibility and good glow from the tritium. You need to know what tritium is supposed to look like and understand the entire large dot doesn’t glow just a smaller center dot. I installed it on a Mossberg 590S with a factory bead sight. The XS sight won’t fit on the factory sight but a replacement bead sight is supplied that’s specifically for the XS. I test fit the sight on the new bead and taped around it very tightly then removed the sight and scuffed the area under the sight with a red scotch pad. Then used JB Weld (MIX THOROUGHLY) and used a tooth pick to make sure the hole the bead goes in is completely coated with epoxy. I clamped with a simple wood clamp with rubber feet (light pressure is all that’s needed) and cleaned up the excess JB with rubbing alcohol. Cleanliness is 100% critical installing this sight. Thoroughly clean the area EVERY STEP with rubbing alcohol for good results

This was an upgrade that I waited too long for. This is a proper sight, attracts the eyes and is very rugged.

I was a bit unsure when I ordered this sight, but after watching videos on youtube on how to install it, I could do a good job mounting it. I removed the factory bead and replaced it with the provided one in the XS Sight package. The only drawback is that it didn't come with the adhesive needed to bond it to the barrel. The sight itself is glued on and not screwed in. I bought J-B Weld 5,000 PSI to cement the sight. After properly affixing it, I used a small clamp to keep it in place while it dried up. After 12 hrs, it was perfectly attached. The product is well-built and sits perfectly well on my shotgun. It looks and feels like it came factory installed. The sight provides a clear and bright view in all lighting conditions. This shotgun sight, is one of the best options out there.

My eyes aren't what they used to be, and this is just the sight I needed! This is the 2nd one I've purchased. Works awesome in the day or night. This is a must have upgrade. You'll love it! Not complicated to install once you have the few materials you need. Nothing else out there that compares. This is the most visible front sight out there, bar none. Believe me, I've spent many hours searching and researching.

Before installing check bead to sight and bead to gun fit. Threads on bead supplied have 0 engagement to gun. Apparently my gun has non factory threads. Bead pocket on sight too shallow.Great idea, excellent sight and quality. BUT you need to know how to use a Dremel tool, have the right grinding tools and know how JB weld works. Understand surface preparation and be ready and able to think through the problems with out creating more.Definitely not a drop in part(at least for me)

Quick install, very visible in both day and night environments! If you have an older 870 like I do the bead on the front of the barrel might be a tad larger. Just file the bead a little and the XS sight will accept it. A small dab of your preferred epoxy adhesive and your ready 😎

Easy to install, even when forced to replace the existing bead on your Mossberg. It's a vast improvement over the bead, and seems sturdy. I haven't taken mine through hell yet, but I know others that have.

Purchased Mar 13, 2021 and the luminescence has already lost its glow. The white outside ring will light up after being in the sunlight, but dims after a few minutes without it. This won't help if I need it in the middle of the night. The green center dot doesn't light up at all. Actually it's been dim for about a year. Maybe I received old stock. I don't know, but it has a lifetime warranty.
