Tailswitch broke
Must have gotten a dud, flashlight seems of decent quality, but the tail switch gave out on mine after 5 minutes. I took it apart and was able to extend the spring in there and keep it working for another day but now its dead again. The switch seems pretty low quality and so does the spring in there. For that reason i wouldnt recommend this light. Maybe I will buy another one and see if I just got a bad one.The good side, mine actually had an XP-E2 in it, and not an XP-E like the title states. Very good throw for a AAA light, threw better than my Thorfire PF01 while it worked and was brighter. Still not as bright as the top tier lights like the Thrunite TI3 and Thorfire TS07, but decently bright nonetheless. In practice, these XP-E lights have approximately equal throw to the newer XP-G2 AAA lights, but you do not get nearly as much spill beam, which kind of hurts close up work. I wish someone would make a deep reflector XP-G2 AAA clicky light that throws...seems no one really does though.

Great flashlight. I mean perfect for EDC.
Review for Helotex XG1 90 lumen AAA flashlight. Well this little flashlight has exceed my expectations. This is my first flashlight I bought and at the moment I was looking for a flashlight small enough to daily carry in my pocket without taking too much space in my pocket. It had to be bright enough for use in small areas such as: electrical panels, computer cases, corridors, vehicles engines, etc. I was not disappointed, this little bad boy illuminates I say, about 50- 60 feet in a pitch black environment. Excellent illumination for such small device and, just uses 1 AAA battery which I carry around a spare in case the flashlight dies while on work. I recommend for the occasional/emergency use. Cases like working on engines, maybe your car tire went flat at night and you need a light source, this flashlight will work for you perfectly. the box says duration of the battery is about 2 hours per battery which I think is not bad since I think this is for the occasional use.Cons -Not waterproof (which I think is ok for such a small price. $10).

Great EDC
I own flashlights from varying price points from Surefire, Streamlight, Fenix, and cheapers stuff from UltraFire/TrustFire. This flashlight is a quality light that fits the bill for a great Every Day Carry light.I will leave it to the more technical folks to tell you the exact lumin rating and how it compares to the 90 rating that the company claims. I can only say that this seems on par with AA lights that claim 60-70 lumins. It has a great spot for throw and nice spill for area view. This comes from a deep orange peel reflector. The deep reflector does make the light a bit longer than some other AAA lights including the Coast G19 that I had a chance to compare it against. The G19 in comparison had a very uniform spill of light without the piercing spot that came from this flashlight. The flashlight is very light weight without seeming cheap. The side clip is very sturdy and holds the light securely in my pocket or on the webbing of my body armor. The flashlight itself is small enough to tuck into the webbing loops to keep it from catching on things. The flashlight has a reverse click tail switch that is flush with the housing (it will tail stand if anyone cares). It does not offer "momentary on" like a true tactical tail switch. In this case, that is not a bad thing. I think having it tucked in a pocket and constantly getting tapped "on" may reduce the battery life. So, I actually prefer the reverse click switch in this case.I've only used it for about two weeks. So, I have no idea of durability. But I think it is a great little light so far.

Great Flashlight.
Flashlight is exactly as promised.I'll start with saying I have no way of testing if it is 90 lumens or not, but I will say that this flash light is very bright. I have no doubt that this is a 90 lumen light.as an hvac tech I wanted a small light that lit up an attic well. I've used this flash light for a few weeks now and I am very impressed. this flash light runs on a AAA battery and although I do recommend lithium batteries, regular batteries do the job just fine. (I'm about two weeks on a Duracell battery.)this flashlight is very sturdy and has survived a few falls, some of them right out of the attic hatch and onto a hardwood floor. squeezing through tight spaces and grinding the light up against units and such hasn't put a scratch on it.My flashlight did come with a factory defect in which the bezel around the lens was not properly cut out, which did not hinder the use of the light in anyway so I didn't worry about trading it.I would recommend this light to anyone who wants an inexpensive flashlight that is bright and fits in a shirt pocket.I would definitely buy again if I ever lost my current one.keep up the good work.

Little light with big shine
I try to collect as many flashlights as possible in order to be prepared for power outages and when you find excellent ones it is even better. This flashlight is really small. At first I thought it was too small until I realized that the flashlight is perfect for carrying in my purse or even pocket. The light is really bright on this flashlight so I can carry it with me when traveling in the dark. The flashlight does not come with batteries so be prepared by having AAA batteries.** I received this product with a promotional discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation for a positive review was provided. All of my reviews are based 100% off of my experience.

Great for EDC.
I LOVE these little lights! Inexpensive, about 90 lumens, and they work! No ridiculous codes to get the light to function: tap ten times, twist cap counter-clockwise, then a half tap, etc. Simply an ON/OFF push button switch. I like that the switch is recessed so you don't accidentally tap it on, and waste your battery. BETTER than Streamlight Microstream, and cheaper too.
