I’d Recommend
Some of the answers were confusing and with it being black and white we couldn’t easily make some of the picture out.BUT it is easy to understand, has a great amount of examples and is similar to the actual test. My son enjoyed it and felt challenged by it. I would recommend. It’s best to go through a little bit at a time and ask kiddo why they choose answer whether they choose the correct answer or not.

Excellent preparation tool for COGAT testing!
This book looks even better than I expected it to be based on the description. I will begin practicing with my daughter on a few pages per day in preparation for testing. I am hopeful that it will at the very least alleviate her anxiety over testing format and in the best case scenario, help her achieve a higher score. Recommend!

The book was in good condition & the shipping was on time
The questions are ok, but the picture/illustration quality is below average. Some of the pictures are outdated or hard to identify. The book was in good condition & the shipping was on time.

It was what I was looking for and found it very useful. Helped me gaged my child's problem areas so we can work on her weaknesses. On the pricey side for test books (compared to some other standardized tests books for lower elementary grades), which is the only negative.

Loved the Cogat preparatory book
Excellent book and really liked the tests... Only request, they should have detachable answer sheets that students can use for circling...

Pretty good
I got this for my first grader to prepare for the CogAT. He said that the actual test was a lot easier than the workbook so I believe it prepared him well. There were a couple questions that had ambiguous answers so it is good to work through the book together.

Wouldn't recommend.
Got this to help my first grader prep for the CogAT, in addition to two other available books. This was our least favorite of the three. Many of the picture analogies and picture classifications were utter nonsense. The only book where I needed to actually check the answer key to try to figure out what in the world the authors were going for. In addition, since it's geared for K-1-2, each section had questions that were way too easy or way above grade level for a first grader. Giving it two stars simply for the extra practice it gave us.

Not good
Like many other reviewers said, there are some really wonky questions in this book. I suggest ordering something else.
