Good Action Movie with some nice comedy with Bobby, Ameesha and some of the police members.
Kranti 2002 brings back good memories because this is the first movie we saw with Bobby Deol and Ameesha Patel, which in my opinion is the beginning of one of the best onscreen pairing in Bollywood cinema. Their big hit "Humraaz", sure proved that. The first half of Kranti has some good romance and comedy, in addition to the action. The first scene with Abhay(Bobby) meeting Sanjana(Ameesha), where she is pretending to be Ram Pyaree, you could see the connection/chemistry in their eyes, even with Bobby wearing shades and speaking in his mind. Ameesha's role was small but was fun to see her pretending to be a thief to see which police officers would take bribes. Other funny scenes: where Abhay seductively scares Ram Pyaree with the gun; where he takes her to dinner and having the police members that accepted the bribes be the servers; then he eventually let Ram Pyaree know that he aware of her true identity and what she is upto; love how he kept using these 2 phrases "Poocho maat" and "Qi lele". Music was good, "Hayo Rabba" is a nice song to dance/exercise to. It was also wonderful to see one of my other favorite senior actor-Vinod Khanna play Abhay's father and Rati Agnihotri as his mother. Ameesha must have been honored to be in this film as well to get the experience working with several senior actors, especially since this was one of her earlier movie. Come to think of it, Ameesha has acted with Vinod Khanna's 2 sons as well(Akshaye and Rahul). Ameesha has also acted with both Deol brothers(Bobby and Sonny). Kranti is a good action movie mixed in with some nice comedy and romance.
