Phenomenal Mouse for Gamers of all Genres
To start off, before this mouse in the past two years I've used the Razer Naga 2012, 2014, Utech Smart mmo mouse, Sharkk MMO mouse, and Logitech G502 Proteus Core. I wanted to list these so you know what I'm comparing my personal experiences to. I bought this mouse, and have been using it for a few days now and here is my initial reaction, it will be updated it things change.Packaging: (for the few that care)It comes in a very professional and organized packaging with your mouse, a carrying case for your spare mouse grip and changeable button sets. It also comes with your instructions which you shouldn't need to set up the mouse.Installation:This has been one of the smoothest installations I've done. I plugged in the mouse for a driver updates, went to their website to install the Swarm software, updated it and then I was ready to go. I had a hiccup when after the software and mouse connected, the mouse turned off; however, turning mouse to factory default in the software with a secondary mouse fixed it and it works perfectly now.Build:1) Grip: I use the larger interchangeable grip on this mouse with a palm style grip and it fits greatly. I run the mouse on 12,000 DPI so I never pick up the mouse, however I did pick it up to test it out, and I was able to with ease. Other reviewers had troubles picking up the mouse comfortably though, so just keep it in mind during your purchase that if you like picking up the mouse, you may not find it as easy as me. The button layout is also very well thought out, I can reach everything with the tip or joint of my thumb very comfortably. The fin as well on the mouse can be hit by the sides of my fingers with ease. The only difficult button is the default shift button towards the front. Its a little out of the way but not too much of an issue since you can change the shift in the software.2) Thumb-Panel: The buttons are absolutely fantastic. If you want a mechanical grid this is the mouse to go with. For those of you upgrading from the Razer Naga 2014 Mechanical MMO mouse, these buttons are far more responsive in my opinion. The big part about this mouse is the 3-D printed thumb button panel. This is extremely easy to customize and is supported inside the software. The software easily lets you customize the particular buttons you are using. The left and right clicks have a medium stiffness to them that won't fatigue your fingers but also will stop you from accidentally pressing too often, if you have that issue. The middle mouse button (scroll wheel) is superb, and has a very nice tactile click and rubberized grip texture with bumps. Finally, the fin is also very tactile and not as all hard to click moving my index and middle finger left or right. I don't have to re-position them at all to click it.3) Mouse Feet: These Teflon feet are standardized with most mice anymore, but they are well placed and there is little drag on my Reflex mouse pad. However, if you press down on the mouse with enough force, the back of the mouse drags ever so slightly, it is non-hindering but noticeable.4) LEDs: There is not much light up here, just the logo and a LED on the back. I have absolutely no issues with this, and they shine brightly. There are many settings for the LED's in the software as well.Software:Finally, the software. This is the most intuitive software I've used; having used Razer Synapse 2.0, and Logitech's, it is a big step up for me. While nothing is wrong with the other software mentioned, this one clicked a lot faster for me and looked nicer. Programming macros is fairly easy, and changing anything with the mouse is done with ease. I spent no time at all figuring out where anything was. The pictures included in the review should give you an idea of what your interface will be. You can also use it without the software installed, and the settings will be stored onto the mouse in case you wan't to use it on another computer.Performance:This mouse preforms exceptionally. I use it at 12,000 DPI and it has absolutely no skipping and is incredibly precise. As mentioned the buttons are very responsive, with no lag. I won't cover the tech specs because those can be found on amazon and their website, but the performance is top notch, and by far the best I have used with any mouse. For a similar performance experience, those of you coming to this from a Logitech g502, the accuracy is similar between both mice.Good for anything but MMO?I play every genre under the sun, the sensor is fantastic. I have used the Razer Naga and Logitech g502 in every genre as well, regardless if they're considered "MMO" mouse or FPS mouse. The Roccat Nyth will meet your expectations for every genre you want to play. Especially with the customization of the button grid. The removable grip as well will give you a similar feel to the g502 in my opinion so it may allow for a claw grip. Conclusion:I'm sure I missed something so there might be updates, if you have questions please ask and I'll do my best to answer. This was an initial review, so I'll update weekly or bi-weekly if performance changes. However, if you have the budget for this mouse, you will not be disappointed. This mouse will be my main mouse for a very long time unless it dies out in the coming months.Notes:I use the mouse with work on the computer, and very heavy gaming, about 12 hours a day between both. I put it through some heavy usage, so if there's any problems with it, they should show up in the near future.__________UpdateIt's been roughly two weeks now and I'm still using this mouse about 12-14 hours a day at 12,000 dpi for fps games such as tf2, MMOs such as SWOTOR, and in MOBAS such as Heroes of the storm. It also make a great mouse for productivity on the computer as you can take all the buttons out and turn it into your average mouse.Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. The software is great and gives me no issues. The mouse itself preforms flawlessly; the buttons are smooth and tactile, and the sensor is still absolutely superb with no skipping, even at maximum dpi. This will be my last update to the mouse unless it breaks, at which point I'll update the reason it broke to here. I'll still be checking the thread for questions so ask away and I'll do my best to answer.

My favorite gaming mouse thus far
I'll try to be brief in and get right to the point. I know I don't read long winded reviews myself :DI've played games with many mice, including Logitech, Razer, and including one I believe is a defunct brand - RATT or something like that. Basically I love gadgets but I do care about their quality and functionality. What intrigued me about the Nyth is the configurable buttons. I've tried the Razer Naga Hex and found the circular buttons practically unusable for me. the far back buttons were practically impossible to use. Also the fact that the configuration of the buttons was unchangeable caused problems in that the way that I hold my mouse, my thumb was hitting two of the buttons at times so I had to disable them. With the Nyth, you can configure the buttons for your best fit and style of gaming. Up to 12 buttons are possible, and although this is overkill for me, a standard 3 or so button mouse was a bit lacking so I needed something in between. My configuration is weird but also shows just how customizeable this mouse is. the bottom row has a blank, a flat piece that renders those button positions disabled because again, those buttons would be hit all the time the way I use my mouse. I also have the front middle side button removed, becuase unfortunately Nyth did not have a blank the size to fit in the hole and I needed that button disabled too. essentially I have 3 side buttons I use all the time with fallout 4 right now. I could probably use a configuration of up to 6 in those positions but at this point 3 side buttons is enough. This is just my preference and I only laid it out to exemplify just how configurable it is.The top tilt button for me is a boon for my gaming. I have it for dpi switch up or down. a quick flick of the button left or right sets the dpi up and down instantly and for this purpose it is extremely useful. The mouse feels pretty good, if very slightly too large for my hand, I can use it just fine and since my hands are smaller than average I imagine it is a perfect fit for average or larger hands. Also configureable is the right side where you can replace the side with a larger, wider grip. of course I do not use it, as it makes the mouse very wide but it is there for those that would find that useful. snaps on with magnets very quickly and easily. The software is great and although I haven't used it fully with my roccat ryos keyboard, there is a ton of functionality in it and it is laid out well. The UI is understandable and user friendly. Every button is configurable. Of course it has game profiles and such but I have no opinion as I don't use those really. The software also can temporarily turn off your buttons so that you can reconfigure the physical buttons on the side without your mouse going all over the place on the computer. All in all, a very nice mouse and I'm very pleased with Roccat products I've used so far. Highly recommended!

The positioning of the buttons makes it extremely easy to unintentionally click them
Eh, for the price, this is a very "meh" mouse. First, installing the dependencies and finally building the driver in Linux was a total PITA, and someone unfamilair with Linux would have likely never got it to work. Even after successful install of the drivers and settings program, the mouse performance was really just "meh". The positioning of the buttons makes it extremely easy to unintentionally click them, and it results in me having to hold the mouse in a way that induces RMS. The pointer sensitivity just isnt there, even on Windows with updated drivers, the mouse just felt a bit sluggish compared to previous mouse I was using. The modularity is nice, and it doesnt "feel" like a junk product (in a physical way). Everything snaps together, comes apart, is manipulated, etc with ease, and the quality seems high. I love that the settings allow you to simply turn off the stupid pulsing LED lights (no idea why *all* mouse manufacturers insist on annoying the heck out of you with bright LED lights). The buttons are asy to access and have a nice feel.I just diddnt like this mouse very much for ~$100. Id pay more like $40 for this, it actually made it harder for me to click on pixels in games. I use an evoluent vertical mouse which blows the Roccat away in sensitivity and accuracy (not to mention, *reduces* RMS). The logitec MMO mouse is a better specialization than any of the Roccat offerings, and Ive also seen a Logitec FPS mouse that would probably handle better than the Roccat too - both for about $50. The Roccat Nyth sort of tries to allow for the best of both worlds, but ends up coming up a bit short everywhere.Final verdict: decent mouse, but way too expensive. Should be 1/3-2/5 the listed price.

Great mouse for any game in my opinion
Great mouse for any game in my opinion. The switchable side panels make this why and the option to remove or change side buttons is great for customization. I'd highly recomend this mouse for those who hate taking their fingers off of the WASD keys when gaming. Only small thing I dont like is in the macro software you cant add a delay before or after actions, but its very small problem.

Impresionante.
Ergonómico, personalizable -no sólo a nivel software, sino el hardware mismo.Los botones laterales personalizables son LO MEJOR del mouse. Además cuando se usa en conjunto con un teclado Roccat el easy-shift duplica la cantidad de botones.
