I Like You

Although this is a book for young children, it is a pleasure for all the adults I know!

While cleaning out the Shed,I came upon a Box,containing my Grandson's Keepsakes. as I perused,I found a little Book I had bought for him at a Garage Sale when he was a Sprout, so I sat down and read it.Oh My! The small.simple little Book is FILLED with all the Words you could never put together in your Mind but felt,to express to your Friends and Loved Ones,how SPECIAL they are to you!As the Book is written for "Children",it was a magnificent Tool to place in the Hands of My Grandson, it instills Love,Whimsy and how one could care for others with just a moment taken to express that Care.I was blown away,I'm Old and was immediately Sold,buying 3 Copies for now,as I am going to send them to my Longest and Dearest Friends and are still my FRIENDS after all these Years! My Friends will be blown away too,and I know that as a "keepsake",when they refer to it,a Big Ol' Smile will take over their Face! Indeed this Little Book is a Most Wonderful Gift!

Cute idea to use as a card for a loved one

My mother read this book to me when I was a child. She gifted the original one to me. I wanted to send one to her for Mother's Day. She was so surprised and happy to receive it. It brought back so many happy memories, as she also read it to my brother and sister too when they were little. The book is simple and very sweet. I have always cherished it and I too read it to my children. I highly recommend this book to everyone!! I wish I was able to find her companion book "Hooray For Us", it's out there but it seems that they are highly collectible, the prices I have seen are $125 and up. Maybe it could be printed again, as many of us who grew up with the "I Like You" book would love to follow it with the "Hooray For Us". Thank you, Sandol Stoddard Warburg for such a gem!!

Sweet , Whimsical , naiveINNOCENT

I bought this book after one of my spiritual teachers emailed her reading of it to me. Then I bought it for a caregiver who lives with me. Something to buy for yourself and read to yourself when you feel 'down'. And an excellent book to read to young children.

You know you got the right gift for someone when they shed a tear or two while reading this fun little book.

Es el tercer ejemplar que pasa por mis manos: el primero me lo regalaron, y años después lo compré para una grandísima amistad. El tercero lo tengo reservado para otra persona muy especial. Es un libro que se puede regalar a tu pareja o a una amistad en donde quieras expresar complicidad, cercanía, simplemente el gusto de estar en la vidas uno del otro. Viene en inglés, así que si lo regalan a alguien que no domina el idioma, tendrán que leerselo. En el mejor de los casos, pidan que quien reciba el regalo, se los vaya leyendo en voz alta, y verán a esa persona conmoverse hasta las lágrimas. Libro conmovedor, recomendado ampliamente.

Perhaps my expectations on the state of this book were off, but what was determined 'good' quality should actually be listed as 'okay/visibly worn'. There were stickers on the back, and an area where there clearly had been a sticker, but since removed, which removed some of the print.A page was missing, and there were names/doodles in the front.

Bought this little book as a Christmas gift for three of my friends. We are all adults who have all the toys and such, but this book was just a small reach out to express my love and care for them.

Came recommended by “Brain Pickings Weekly”, who I read. They recommended other books that are brilliant. Lovely book. Again should be shared with everyone in your family.

I gave this to my best friend of 20+ years for her birthday this year. It's a really cute book and a great find. I highly recommend for those close friends out there. Nice thing to give and receive I'd say.
