Perfect for 2013 Mazda 5 Touring
The media could not be loaded. It came with the logo placed inside the key fob. The key fob was already partially open so you won't have to try hard to get it apart. It also came with a screwdriver. The video shows how to swap out the transponder.I saw no need to use the new key blade since mine looks and works good. If you need to swap out the key blades then you'll need to pry the logo off your key. There's a screw that holds the key fob together under the logo. My key portion fit perfectly into the new fob so I skipped this step.My transponder was not glued in as another reviewer said. There's really no need to glue it in place; it lifts right out. The transponder is embedded in the white rubber piece that comes with the new key fob. I used my old one but if you want you can swap out the rubber piece. The transponder comes right out. Be sure you put the transponder in the rubber piece correctly. That is, make sure it aligns with the right buttons. Compare it to your old one before removing it.There's a gap in my video because the camera stopped recording. All I did during that gap was put the new battery in and snap the key fob together. It's IMPORTANT to make sure you have the transponder installed properly before you snap the fob back together. I'd hate to try and tear it apart once it's snapped together. All the buttons worked. I highly recommend this replacement key fob. Please let me know if you found this review helpful. Thanks!

Mostly works
The buttons doesn't work with the main board of my old key, reusing the old buttons works perfectly. I've also reuse the top part of the old key (don't want to rekey the key blade and take apart the key to transfer the transponder) which also fits ok.

The screw is way too tight
So, I'll start off by saying that just it's clear, this is just the shell of the key fob. It doesn't include any electronics. But that's what I needed. My old fob worked fine except for the spring mechanism, so the key wouldn't flip out.I planned on switching out the electronics to the new key, using videos on youtube. But once I began, it was easier just to take the spring and replace it in my old one.The reason I'm giving it 3 stars only is because there's a little screw you need to unscrew to get open the top half of the fob. This thing was so tight, and so tiny, that I stripped it completely. The only way I got the plastic pieces apart was I pries at it so hard, the piece came up off of the screw. I must've made the hole around it bigger when prying at it. Luckily, nothing broke. But if I had needed to use the entire part, it would've been near useless. May e mine was just a one off, I don't see any similar complaints. But if you get one similar, return it unless you're good with stuff like that and can get it out another way.Anyway, my old fob works perfectly now that I got the new spring part in. That was quite a hassle so I'm glad I didn't have to mess with the board and transponder as well.

Crap
Honestly this key was crap. I put it together the way it was shown but the spring to flip the key back up is defective. I should've just stuck with the my broken fob I had, at least with that one I could close it back down and flip it up when I needed to. Also...the buttons still don't work

Cheap and Functional
Bought this as it was the cheapest one available. I had a busted key fob that needed replaced. I opened up mine, took everything out and put into this one. It looks and works great.

Parts not interchangable with OE fob, low quaility symbol paint
I bought this reproduction wanting to interchange parts with my worn-down OE key fob (2010 Mazda3 hatchback). I tried reusing some of the higher quality old parts from my OE key fob in this new one, but they are not compatible. The OE fob has a higher quality rubber pad for the plastic buttons to press on, but it will not work in this key. The OE rubber pad is apparently too stiff and prevents the new key's plastic buttons from being able to depress the buttons on the transmitter PCB. The rubber pad from the new key loosely fits around the transmitter PCB while the OE pad fits snug. The OE buttons and pad worked well together, so I have no idea why it is an issue when swapped with parts of the new fob.I tried swapping in my OE key in the upper part of this new fob, but something about the spacing of the plastic is off. Everything goes together, but the spring (new or old) isn't able to unfold the key. The plastic is too tight with the new fob or something, and it won't open. If I used the old OE backing on the upper part of the new fob, it is suddenly able to open. Looking at the two parts side by side, they look identical. Regardless of the old or new upper backing, the OE key doesn't fold down. It gets stuck on the side of the fob. You have to push the key inward to get it to fold into place. As the fob arrived, the blank key opens and closes without issue. So there is some minor difference in spacing between this and the OE fob when everything snaps together. The new fob does come with a Mazda emblem that you can stick on. It looks very close to the OE emblem, but not perfectly identical. The last hope for this reproduction being useful is the plastic buttons. However, the paint used for the symbols is extremely easy to scrape away. The button icons already have scrapes on them from pressing the tip of my finger on them. They will ware away quickly.I will have to cut the blank key to match my OE key, then transplant the immobilizer chip over, reusing no other parts beside the transmitter PCB. Even for the low price, this key is not worth the hassle. I'm not sure any other reproduction keys will be better. They all look the same.Edit: I had the blank key cut and it works to open and start the car. It opens smoothly and close most of the time. However, every once in a while, it will get stuck part of the way when folding down. If you look at the spacing between where the plastic parts of the fob connect, there is a wider variance in gap size than the OE key. The poor tolerances on the fit and finish of the fob is probably why it gets hung up on closing. I still do not recommend this product. Buying a new key fob from Mazda is much more expensive, but it is annoying to handle this cheap fob every time I drive my car.
