Tart and juicy
It's a very ugly looking apple and looks can deceive. When growers started growing apples for uniform size, deeper red color, and lack of blemishes in the 1970s what emerged nearly killed the apple industry. The apples were tasteless. In all the years since then orchards have striven to bring back apple varieties with juice, flavor and smooth (i.e. not mealy) texture. This apple is sweet and juicy. Good for a snack or for baking. If you eat it raw it pairs well with extra sharp cheddar cheese. In addition to using it to bake it also makes a good applesauce apple.

Convenient delivery
Similar at TJs with lower cost there. But added other grocery items to Whole Foods delivery with items I could only get and wanted from Whole Foods.

So light and crisp
I love these! I only get them organic and when I order from Whole Foods. They lost in the fridge. They are, as you’d expect from the name, the lightest and most crisp apple I’ve ever had. The flavor is unique. It’s like an apple mixed with... grapes? It’s no Macintosh, Granny Smith, or gala, but is perfect in its own way. I feel like it’s not meant for cooking, though I’ve never tried. It’s just very light and airy, not hardy. A great fresh eating apple.

organic honeycrisp apples
Mmmmmm! It's the right season for apples and my grandsons just love honeycrisp. These were delicious. Crisp and sweet. Like a Fuji.. but I think the flesh is a bit crisper - in my opinion.

The best apples on Earth
Honeycrisp apples are my favorite apples and these happen to be the best tasting ones I can find. The ones from Trader Joe's are larger but these are tastier for sure. A little xpensive but totally worth it.
