I wasn't sold on this idea for a pillow when I bought it but it was suggested as a way to keep my CPAP mask from coming off in the night. Well it works for that and so much more! My neck feels better than it ever has in my life! I opted for this pillow because it was the cheapest one I could find. I figured if it was at all decent I would spring for a more expensive one but no need. This one is great. I highly recommend it.

Sinceramente cuando leí acerca de esta almohada me pareció atractiva por el tema de vanidad y pensé en comprarla hace como 8 ò un poco màs de años...apenas la compré hace 5 meses y me arrepiento de no haberlo hecho antes, desde hace una década he padecido de dolores de columna, y pues con el uso de esta almohada se han desaparecido, la super recomiendo!!!

I am a SIDE SLEEPER and I have slept on several pillows after being in a car accident, having back and neck pain, etc.. I have gone through the memory foam lane where it had my body remembering all the pains I had accumulated over the years. Buckwheat Hulls have finally put those memories to rest!!!Contour Memory Foam pillows... I had one , it was great then it went flat and squishy and became useless, plus high quality ones are more expensive. We've all been "sold" these so called amazing pillows, right? After a car accident I even invested ina 4 inch memory foam topper. It helped for the time being, even the contour memory foam pillow was great.. but only for a while. I ended up throwing it out a 2 years ago and sleep better now on firm bed. I did get a 2 inch memory foam topper recently at the suggestion of a friend but i quickly remembered after a week how bad it was and took it back. The memory foam accumulates HEAT and you get a squishy bed where it basically swallows you up. not my idea of a good night's sleep and I had the worst pains that started to come back.. I also hate having to fight with my bedding.Bedding is just like office ergonomics. We dont change to fit the environment, the environment should change to fit us! and that is exactly what Buckwheat Hull pillows do. they are agreeable and do what you want it to.Sept 2012 I first purchased the 14x20 ZEN CHI Pillow from Amazon and loved it. Ideally I purchased it as a travel pillow.When I left the 14x20 pillow at my boyfriends house he didnt want to give it back! Now I know it makes a great gift too so I just bought the 20x26 Twin size for his birthday and an extra one for myself . If youre friends/relatives try your buckwheat beware you will be subjected to PILLOW ENVY! So I'm now considering buying one for my relatives for gifts too.Yesterday I just recieved Twin size and it is perfect fulltime pillow on my bed.Now since I am a side-sleeper and have had back/neck pain, I have also slept with a pillow between the knees to help keep my hips aligned at night. I have been using a contour memory foam pillow for between the knees and it was okay but nothing too fantastic. Well now I have 2 sizes of buckwheat pillows, the large for my head and the smaller size for between the knees! I did this last night and it was amazing sleep! Even woke up before my alarm and feeling rested.I am throwing out the last of my memory foam junk in the trash today.What I love about buckwheat... they do not attract dust-mites, they are non-toxic, they are not flammable like foam, adjustable and can be customized. I may even add LAVENDAR flowers mixed in the Buckwheat :)I think the Japanese have a lot to teach us in terms of firm bedding. Soft squishy beds really are not that great. Long-term I am planning on making a mattress topper filled with buckwehat hulls. Right now I'm using the 14x20 pillow as a seat cushion and immediately my spine is aligned and im not slouching.So with that I'm convinced Buckwheat Hulls are IT!!! I may even get a Zafu sitting pillow because I sit on the floor alot on my laptop.Thank you Zen-Chi for offering a great product at a reasonable price!BUY THIS PILLOW!!!

I have pretty terrible posture in my daily life. I slouch and hunch over a lot which tends to lead to a lot of neck pain. After doing some research online, I found that using a buckwheat pillow could help relieve some of this pain I was experiencing. So I went and ordered this one as it was the most affordable one I could find.Initially I was a little hesitant because of some reviews claiming there were bugs in their orders. But I realized that all of those reviews were from people in the US a couple years ago. And the recent ones from Canada weren't having the same issue. So I just guessed that they were some local warehouse storage issues. Just to play it safe, I let my order sit in the box on the floor for a couple hours and observed it heavily. Once I was sure I had no little friends hitching a ride I knew I was good to give it a try.And wow!! Within the first few days of using it I could already feel an improvement. It's so good at holding it's shape and giving you all the support you need for a good night's rest. The best way I can describe is like sleeping with your head on a bean bag or pile of sand. You can move around the filling so that it molds exactly into the shape of your head/neck.The pillow case itself is nice and brand new. In terms of dimensions I think it's slightly smaller than what is listed but I think they just measured it while it was flat. A standard size pillow case fits over top perfectly so I have no complaints there. Filling wise it had little over 6lbs. For a side sleeper this is pretty good in my opinion. However, I'm mostly a back sleeper so I ended up taking out ~1.5 lbs which was very easy!One last thing to keep in mind is that the pillow is a little noisy. Some people may get annoyed by the sounds of the hulls shifting around. Especially at night. For me it actually works kind of like an ASMR thing. Like a heavy rain shower at night!

I LOVE this pillow!!! I was a little apprehensive to purchase this product because of some of the negative reviews about bugs and a chemical smell. Let me address the negative reviews:The smell: I get instant headaches from many chemical smells from brand new products, even a new car smell — can’t stand it! Sometimes I can smell things that others cannot and am disturbed by what they are absorbing into their bodies when my body is screaming at me to vacate the area. Yes, this pillow has a scent, but I do not believe it is toxic. It smells like what I imagine buckwheat to smell like, and I did not find it overpowering. If it really bothers you, you could probably put another pillow case over it with a zipper to try and lock it in before putting it in your bed sheet pillow case. You could also mix around a few drops of your favorite essential oil into the pillow, directly on the buckwheat kernels.The 1/3 full amount: I would say the pillow is about half full of buckwheat, and that’s a good thing! If it were totally full, it would not be able to do its job! It forms to the shape of your head and keeps your head in place with great support to avoid getting any kinks in your neck. You want the buckwheat to be malleable.The noise: Yes, when you move around and readjust your pillow, you will hear the buckwheat moving around, but it’s not a big deal. Sheets make a noise too when you shuffle around. Once you are settled, no more noise.The bugs: Luckily, there we’re absolutely no bugs! I opened the box outside just in case.The good: No more kinks in my neck when I wake up! I fell asleep with a smile on my face. ☺️
