Just to preface this review, this is the first puzzle I've done in YEARS, so I didn't know what to expect or what to even shop for difficulty wise. Right out of the gate, this puzzle was very intimidating, but once we got things slowly moving forward, it was a ton of fun. I found it very challenging, but rewarding. It took about 2 weeks to finish, spending a bit of time each day on it. Some of the pieces were cut in frustrating and confusing patterns that made it difficult to place, but once you got the pieces around them set, they were mini victories to place. If you had asked me 2 weeks ago whether I'd recommend this, I'd likely have leaned towards no, but now that I've finished it, I can say that this was a lot of fun, rewarding, and not overly difficult to finish. I recommend buying this, unless this is your first puzzle. It may be a difficult introduction into having fun with puzzles, which was the case for my wife (who gave up day 2).

Fun and challenging. The colors are vibrant and it’s fun for the occasion/halloween. Absolutely recommend and will be looking for this brand, for a Christmas themed one as well.

I did enjoy working the puzzle but it turned out to be more difficult than expected. There is a lot of dark pieces. Since we bought it thinking our grandson would enjoy working on it, we were a bit disappointed (too difficult). That does not make it a bad puzzle, it just needs to be for accomplished puzzle people. The picture is actually interesting and the pieces were well cut. It needs to be for adults who don't mind the toughness.

Due to COVID we have started a family puzzle a month. For October I ordered this Halloween puzzle. In my excitement I completely glossed over "bits and pieces", so this puzzle upped the difficulty. It was challenging, but not extremely hard.We (ages 6-37) worked together, on and off, for roughly a week to complete it.These puzzles have been a great way to come together as a family and work our brains, chat, and even have a date night over.I would get this for your puzzle fan. It is sturdy when assembled. I do not frame them (we take photos them bag, box and store) so I do not know about it's framability.

Gosh, where to begin? Well, how about sorting the frame pieces... there are many pieces with straight edges that are not part of the frame. Very deceptive, and serves no purpose except to make the assembler(s) mad right off the bat.Puzzle pieces vary SIGNIFICANTLY in size. I'm okay with that, though it makes the puzzle asymmetric. For example, the bottom of the frame is 29 pieces long (including corners) while the top of the frame is (IIRC) 37 pieces in length.I thought the puzzle was more difficult to put together than it needed to be, for several reasons:1. Personally, I found the pieces to be very blurry and difficult to make out.2. I knew going in (from the cover picture) that the color scheme would be very monochromatic... lots of different shades of gray, lots of black & midnight blue, you get the idea.3. The pieces are loose, and sometimes--way too many times--it is very difficult to determine whether two pieces go together or not because there's so much wobble in the interlock. Loose fitting pieces also means an unstable puzzle; i.e. if you accidentally bump something it'll fall apart and you need to reassemble it.4. As others have mentioned, some pieces have smooth edges (sometimes straight, sometimes curved), so they don't lock in place until all the pieces surrounding them are in place. I don't mind that one bit, but it does add time to the puzzle. [As an aside, there are a number of very odd-shaped pieces, like for example pieces with two heads on a single side. I tend to enjoy odd-shaped pieces, for some reason.]One other thing that should be mentioned is that there were a couple pieces where the image was peeling off the cardboard backing. It wasn't drastic by any stretch of the imagination, and it was only a very few pieces, but it was there and it was noticeable.Overall, however, I was satisfied with the puzzle. When it was completed, my wife said it was one of the nicest looking she had ever seen; which I found interesting because, as I said earlier, I thought the pieces--and hence the entire puzzle as a whole--were blurry. It did look nice, but it didn't "pop", and some areas of the actual puzzle don't stand out as much as they do on the cover photo.Best thing of all, however, was the Halloween theme. My wife and I usually do a puzzle over Thanksgiving weekend, but this year I thought I'd change things up with a Halloween puzzle. It was both different and enjoyable. I looked at several Halloween puzzles while browsing Amazon, and I chose this one because--even though I said it was monochromatic with lots of greys--it had the most color diversity compared to the others.

Good quality and was medium difficulty

Bits and Pieces is one of my favorite puzzle companies, so I knew I was getting a great quality puzzle. This puzzle was random cut, but still had some easily identifiable edge pieces. It was lots of fun to put together with plenty of tiny details. Perfect for Halloween!
