Best gadget I have bought in along time !!

I ordered and received this solar bank recently. I was so excited to use it. I like a minimalist style and thought this will be a great addition to my backpack. Unfortunately, after testing it, it only charged my Samsung Note 4 for 3 times. I thought it was supposed to charge phones for up to 8-10 times (that's what the description says). I don't know if I have received a broken unit, but I am really disappointed. I liked the design a lot, the fact that it has a light which can also be used to signal in emergency situations, and it's also waterproof.The only button on the device is for the light to switch it for its different modes. I don't see any button to turn it off and on when charging a device. I noticed that simply putting the USB cable in, connecting it to the phone and opening the solar panels, starts charging the phone. I don't know if somehow power is lost if a phone it's not plugged in as there is no button to switch on and off.I tried to charge it by solar and it took days/~1 week and it still stayed at 2 full blue dots instead of 3 or 4. These few days has been very cloudy so I assume that is the reason why. I understand solar charging takes longer and natural to be so. That is why I charged it 'normally' and, after it was full, I tested it on the phone. It charged the phone in about 1.3 - 2 hrs (I'm not sure exactly as I was doing other things and didn't keep my eyes on the time).I did not expect the battery to run out so quickly. As mentioned, I don't like buying tons of devices and accessories and I was hoping this will be good. I am so, so disappointed.If the seller could contact me to help me out and let me know if this is a defective unit which could be replaced that would be great. Until then, this, unfortunately, is my review. :(Recent edit: I was not contacted by the seller to discuss my concerns. I have either received a broken unit or this is how this device works, which is very bad. I am disappointed as I now have to search for another one that works.

Great back up and battery life but the solar charging stopped working correctly after 1 week. Not ideal for purpose it was purchased
