The ram works and does increase the performance on my laptop. PNY usually a pretty well trusted brand. After several weeks of using this ram, I have not seen any issues with this device. The specification for this ram is as followed 8GB DDR4 2666 Mhz. In terms of gaming, this will work for that purpose as well. I put this into my gaming laptop and it works great. I personally like the simple look of it and the black board makes it really look blended into my laptop. It is pretty light to hold compared to the other bigger ram sticks. If you are planning to use this as a single stick in your laptop, this will work just fine. It is pretty easy to install. One thing to note is that you should unplug your computer before changing the ram. Also make sure that you discharge yourself (touch metal) before handling to avoid static damage. It does not require any additional installation or setting changes (at least on my end) to make this work. Again the most important thing is to make sure you unplug your computer from the power before you install this to avoid any problems. It is just simple ram that has a pretty fast performance. I just use this to upgrade my older gaming laptop and it helped with the overall lag of the computer. It provides me with extra ram to be a little more future proof. As a single stick, it is more than enough ram to surf the web, watch videos. I use this for gaming and it also worked just fine. Be aware that for most gaming laptop, 8 gb will be a bit of a bottle neck. There are no real heating issues with no heat sink. It performs pretty well. The packaging for open box is not that great as it was not even taped into the anti static bag so it fell out and was rolling all in the mailer. Overall this is a very cheap and inexpensive ram to have (considering our chip shortage). It performances is strong. It is great as a single stick (although 8 gb is a bit low for gaming laptops) or for an additional stick. I have actually added this to my gaming PC and it worked just fine with all the other ram.

This PNY memory is absolutely TERRIBLE! Would not install in my system, after PNY directly told me it would be perfectly capable of handling anything I would throw at it. In fact, my laptop wouldn't let me do a thing after I installed this memory. Contacted HP and was told that PNY memory modules will not work with my system, regardless of what PNY tells me. Had to return all 4 modules for a full refund, which thankfully Amazon did for me.I cannot, in all good conscience, recommend PNY memory modules to anyone!

I have the Lenovo 4 flex pad Laptop with 4GB ram, running windows 10. Well most of the time it was using 3.9 GB of ram which made things sluggish and many time it needed like 6MB. And that will jam you up. So I saw this PNY (a brand which has treated me well over the years) for about the price of a Large Pepperoni Pizza. 16GB is the max the Lenovo can use and it only has the one port. I put it in and it instantly recognized and increased to 16GB. Things run fast and smooth now. One of the best improvements, especially cost wise. The deal with this upgrade however, is that you are not changing a lightbulb here, If you know much about computer repair not just hooking one up, maybe how to change spark plugs on a car or install a garage door opener, or especially if you used to put together those little plastic model kits, then maybe you can do this. It requires several small screws to be removed (smaller then a grain of rice), a heat shield plate removal, then a switch out of the module by unhinging retainer clips. So it's not the easiest thing, maybe watch a YouTube video on it first to see what you think about the difficulty level.

The product brand is rated high. I was not disappointed. Received item quickly. Installed on my iMac with no problems. Booted up and all is well!!

I have an MSI GF72VR 7RF which a baggage handler was kind enough to throw/step on/kick and break the bottom. The break oddly enough damaged the ram and caused a (A7) Me Downgrade - Request MeSpiLock Failed error. This really stumped me, thinking perhaps an xray damaged my bios. I ran a BIOS update via USB and that still did not work. A last ditch effort and I removed a single stick of RAM and my computer successfully booted both Ubuntu 22.05 and Windows 10.On a whim I ordered these and they would fine so far. My computer shows 32GB of RAM at least in Linux, and Windows gave a little hardware check because some things changed (I didn't verify Windows saw all the RAM, but I don't care what Windows sees). Very pleased to see this work with reverse compatibility.

Works like a charm, now my 2020 27" iMac has 24GB in total memory.A quick tip, when installing put the new ram in slots 1 and 2 and the OEM ram into slots 3 and 4. This will get you the full 2667MHZ speed.

I purchased a second hand Lenovo Thinkbook 14 that did not have the DIMM slot populated. The laptop only had 4 GB of ram soldered to the board.Installing this stick was very simple and easy, and it bumped up my ram to a total of 20 GB.The stick was perfectly compatible with my laptop, as the max speed of the laptop and stick are both 2667 Hz.This stick made my laptop much more capable, and I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Buena velocidad y calidad

Si quieres una memoria de buena velocidad y económica y sobre todo una buena marca, ésta es de la mejores opciones, para mi punto de vista PNY es muy buena marca con lo cual tendrás una garantía de calidad y rendimiento, velocidad de 2666 es mejor que revises la velocidad de tu memoria actual para poder sacarle mejor provecho, que ambas tengan la misma velocidad.

Finora ottima e devo dire che non ho apprezzato grandi miglioramenti installandola su un pc già con 8 giga di ram. Vedremo la durata. La consiglio se è in sconto visto che il prezzo sembra fin troppo "ballerino". Una stella alla confezione tutta di plastica e molto dura. Un impresa spacchettarla, più difficile che installarla!
