I used these in a vertical position to allow kids (and my 200lb self) to climb up a ladder on a wall and they're rock solid. There's no movement at all in the mounted handles.The handle itself is grippy but not too soft that it's going to slide off the metal. I'm using this indoors so it won't be affected by the sun - your mileage may vary.These are a great buy for the money and well worth the expense.

Should be a five star rating if it wasn't for the cheap screws they provide. Both screw heads stripped, one snapping in half before tightened. Very cheap, hope the handles are better than the hardware they send.

My wife installed these without measuring or leveling and they look great. I chose these over the plastic versions bc they were stronger. They are still very lightweight and seem pretty strong so far. I installed into treated wood so used galvanized hardware from the store instead of what csm with it which seemed to be for internal use only.

Awesome handles! if you have plastic handles on your play-set you need to replace them with these. Everything you need, including mounting hardware, is included. These look like they will last forever.

These handles are rock hard sturdy and comfortable to grasp. You do need to drill deep enough for the long screws provided.

Solid handles being used for a tree house ladder. Actually just ordered 2 more sets to supplement a rock wall. The screws do seem like they may be made from a softer metal so beware if you are installing with a drill or impact driver as they strip extremely easily. Manually with a screw driver should be no problem... I destroyed the head on one of the screws and now i’m currently looking for a similar replacement to finish installation. Other than that, very happy...

Handles were fine. Bolts and threads were a little thinner than I would have preferred. Rubber washers were cheap and mushroomed under slight pressure.

We were very thankful for these. I had wished I bought another set to match the other side and replace the plastic unreliable handles the player came with originally. Super happy :)

Bought these to give a couple extra handholds when climbing out into our loft. They are incredibly strong and come with decent bolts (you'll need an 11mm socket ideally although there is a large crosshead too). Feel like they'll outlast the roof timbers.

Then it is right! These certainly did. They look right, useable, designed nice and slim, making them unobtrusive, strong durable and priced just right.
