Weaver Leather Padded Adjustable Nylon Horse Halter

For the price, I was expecting something cheaply made or something that might bleed the colors onto my horses coat, but that wasn't the case. As soon as I opened the bag the halter came in, I could tell it was quality. The material feels strong and thick and the colors are rich and beautiful. I was disappointed they were out of stock of the purple halter so I ordered the blue, but the blue looks great on my gelding so I'm happy with it! The metal clasps did have a bit of dark rub/stain on them but it doesn't effect it in any way. The padding is a great touch and the adjustable parts leave my gelding comfortable.

I bought my first one of these on Stateline Tack in 2014. It WILL RIP if your horse is persistent enough, which is why I like it. My mare is off the track and had really crappy farrier manners when I first purchased her. She was tied to a post, reared, lost her mind for no reason and luckily her halter tore off or she could have really hurt herself.I bought a replacement that lasted 6 years and she JUST ripped it having a temper tantrum over having her ear sprayed with fly spray. That's 6 years I got out of a $10 halter.It costs a little more on Amazon, but the quality is outstanding for the price. It's really thick and has nice padding at the poll and noseband. It's also very adjustable for a custom fit.It's oversold on Stateline, but I'm so glad I was able to find it elsewhere for a reasonable price because it really is such a great halter.

These halters are very adjustable, we used the "Small Horse" size for our Arabs from yearling to almost age 3, then purchased the "Average Size" as the throat latch had by then gotten too snug around the jaw. Our Arabs are large (15 hands) with classic heads, so with the Average we have the nose adjusted to either the smallest or 1 hole beyond smallest, and the throat/jaw with one extra hole left to largest setting. Green on the chestnut, blue on the bay, and they look great!

This fit Charlie very well. It is easy to tighten and very easy to adjust. He tends to like stuff higher on his nose, he doesn’t like stuff that drops too low around his nose area, so that makes halters and bridles a challenge with this particular horse. I was happy with the materials and how it fit. Charlie seems comfortable. He’s not tossing his head in it etc. The Buckle stays secure. Easy to wash material etc. Looks great on him in my opinion. Nylon and metal are tough. I really love the color. I’ve had to wash it one time so far and it hasn’t faded.

I ordered this padded halter for my mare, as we're moving and making a 7+ hr trip. The padded areas (behind the ears and the noseband) look comfortable and breathable. Not too thick, as to cause her to sweat and it to rub or anything like that. Which is something I was worried about. I like how the nose band is adjustable as well. Great product and I will definetly be buying again for my other horses.

This is a really nice halter. The padding is the part I really like. I have only had it for a few days but its very nice and well made. Thankfully the muzzle is adjustable because it is rather large. My Thoroughbred mare looks absolutely gorgeous in it though. I would recommend this halter if you are looking for something well made and strong and still stylish. I will try to add a photo once the weather clears up.

Weaver never disappoints, high quality and the sizing on this halter is highly customizable, so it fits my Arabs tiny head perfectly! And the purple is so cute!

Of course these are my absolute FAVORITE halters and leads, especially for the porice a wonderful, sturdy and attractive product. They are snug but comfortable for the horse, loose though in all of the areas it should be. I love the Blue, a friend of mine has all greens so we can tell our things apart at the barn. I highly recommend these! A halter that is "horse" may not fit a larger head like an Azteca though. so go up one size : ) Also easy to clean and care for.
