DechraDermAllay Oatmeal Shampoo for Pets, 12-Ounce

I use this to bath my wiener dog. He get itchy and his arm pits gets noist feeling. This shampoo seems to help with both! Has a light apple scent.

My GSD started itching and scratching persistently over a year ago. Her vet started her on Apoquil and I started the process of trying to determined if a food allergy was to blame. I was careful about transitioning foods and even tried a prescription dog food ($178 a bag). While the Apoquil helped to keep her from scratching to the point of bleeding and infection, she was still itchy all day, everyday. A couple months ago she had a vet appointment for a check up and to refill her Apoquil prescription. During the visit, our vet recommended trying this shampoo. I am not kidding you, after I gave her a bath with this shampoo she COMPLETELY stopped scratching. I was amazed. I called the vet the next day and razed about how amazing it was. I see a lot of people on social media/GSD pages asking for advice for itchy dogs. I highly recommend this product. It works by improving the skin's ability to block allergens and irritants. I bathed her 3 times the first week, and then once a week to keep her skin healthy. I do believe she has environmental allergies and she still takes Apoquil. If she gets extra itchy. I will give her an extra bath.I dilute 2 oz. of the shampoo with 2 - 4 oz. of water in a squeeze bottle to make it easier to distribute through her coat and then leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing.Another benefit is that her shedding has reduced DRAMATICALLY. She is my beautiful baby girl and I'm so happy she is no longer suffering from persistent itching.

Our pooch is 3.5 years old. He has suffered his entire life with red, inflamed skin. We got it manageable, but the poor thing is allergic to everything, I suspect. Food, environmental, you name it. He has always (no matter which "non drying/conditioning/gentle" shampoo we used) itched the day after his bath. With this one, he did itch once or twice, but NOTHING like the others. We will be lifetime fans, unless some other issue comes up after using it for a while. For now, I am so happy our loveable Cocoa is not itching himself raw. Thank you!

This stuff is awesome. My pup has dry skin and this soothes it well. I use it once a week and can tell the difference in his itching/dandruff.It has a light green apple smell but not overly scented. Smells like fresh apple if I could describe it as anything.

This is an excellent shampoo for all our families pooches. It's gentle and thorough and one recommended by our Veterinarian for our dog with Sterile Nodular Panniculitis ( very rare problem ) and works on all the doggies we love. Highly recommend it for those who are in need of a good cleaning shampoo.
