Good outboard
The media could not be loaded. Fun little clutch driven outboard. Came with an extra pull cord and required minor assembly. Just make sure to add 75-90 gear oil where directed near the propeller using the appropriate fill/drain holes. Smoked a tiny bit during the first five minutes of “break in” on the water, but overall no issues and works great.

Good, not great.
Packaging was subpar, but nothing was damaged. It is missing the second pull cord, but not a big deal. The installation was pretty easy, but the instructions were worthless. My biggest complaint is that it does not come with gear oil in the prop housing, and the instructions DO NOT tell you that you need to add it. I know enough about mechanics and shipping laws to know that they can't ship it with oil in it, and that it needs oil, but not every one will know that and it can cause the motor to be destroyed on the first run. Seems solid enough, and I'll come back to update this review after I take it out on the water a few times.Update!Somehow I managed to break part of the motor mount. It didn't effect the ability to use the motor in any way, but it shows that the mount is made from cheap metal so you need to be careful about hitting anything while using this motor. With that said, I have run it for hours on multiple occasions, and while it's not a fast motor, it gets you further across the lake than a trolling motor. On my 14ft jon boat this will move me along at 5.5 mph and I can go about 4 miles on 1 tank of gas. So if you intend to use this on your small pond boat I still think it's a good buy.Update number 2!After over a year of running it the throttle is stuck all the way open so it either full speed or nothing. And I hit a stump, which managed to break the steering arm off of the motor without damaging the lower unit at all. I made a new bracket for it and it still works. Still putting it thru hell and it's still going. So I'm not disappointed with the less than $300 I spent on it, but it is still too loud.

Worth the money, solid motor.
So far this motor has worked very well. I've taken it out twice and haven't had any problems. A few points of note:1. There we're no assembly instructions with mine. It want hard to figure out, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt.2. There was no oil in the lower. It says in the operations manual to change the oil, but not adding any before use. I had planned to change it out for something of higher quality before I took it out and I'm glad I checked. Also, it mentions a drain plug. There is only the fill port and a flat spot where a hole could be drilled and tapped if you wanted to add one. It's such a light motor it's not a big deal to flip when you need to drain it.Beyond all that, I feel this is worth the money. I'm using it on a 16 foot kayak and going into a 30mph wind last weekend I still moved fairly quickly.

looks like it'll do
The media could not be loaded. Like:- Great design, I've wanted a light weight ~4HP motor for YEARS. Finally found one for a GREAT price. For boat motors expect to pay at least $100/hp used. So this is a deal!-Light weight. Will work well with my Sevylor Fish Hunter 360 13' inflatable. Will update after I get it on the water for a test.

Good motor, weak mounting system
I didn’t want to do this openly because I actually like the motor, but I can’t find how to email the manufacturer for a replacement part. I took the motor out for its maiden voyage and the mounting bracket broke. I didn’t realize the pin that was in that hole was out just a little and was trying to lift the motor before it would have hit a rock. When I lifted, it snapped like a twig. I love that it’s inexpensive, but I’d have paid $10-20 more for a stronger bracket. Is there any way to get a replacement? I’m going to JB Weld it for now. It’ll be a temporary fix at least.By the way, this motor has some amazing torque when you open it up.

Good
Ordered this for my 10ft bass boat. Shipping by carrier was good but inside the box was different inside the box materials are not tied down everything is jumping around inside the box. air filter cover was cracked about an inch but not a big deal. instructions to assemble outboard motor are a joke so make sure you have some kind of clue to putting it together. the good thing is the kit that comes with the motor has every tool you need to put it together motor seems well built and strong. OTHER THAN THAT MOTOR IS GOOD AND STRONG FOR THE MONEY FOLLOW MY YOUTUBE PAGE FOR VIDEOS ON THIS PRODUCT nmanglers505

Great for small craft in very shallow water
This air cooled outboard can run in shallower water than outboards with water cooling systems. It starts very easy every time and is lighter weight than any other option out there. It's ideal for a small john boat or square stern canoe. Since its a 2 cycle, storing it on its side is no problem. This is as simple to own as any outboard out there. Just put oil in the lower gear case and replace the centrifugal clutch when it wears.I also want to use it on a bass boat as an emergency backup motor if I can find a propeller with a low enough pitch so that it will get up to operating RPM's on a heavy boat. I will update if I can get this to work also.

Can’t wait to try it out ! Shipping damages not the company’s fault !
The boat engine looks sturdy assembly was very simple ! But the box and inside looks like it went under a truck ! The air filter cover was broken and it looks like a hair line crack in the prop but other than that am happy ! They have contacted me and they are sending a new cover for the engine ! Very fast response and very helpful ! Thank you Edward !

Alright motor
I use this on my intex mariner 4 and it works well, Unfortunately after 6-7 uses on the water it started leaking gas from the compartment. Definitely shouldn't be an issue after 6-7 uses but I enjoyed what it was when I first had itSeller is very responsive and my airfilter cap came damaged, they went out of their way to send me a replacement.I wish the motor didn't start to have issues otherwise I'd be keeping it and using it all the time!
