We love buying candy from other countries, and I ordered these from Amazon after my daughter got one from a friend in Mexico. These are authentic Mexican candies, so if your palate leans toward the super sweet, high fructose corn syrup taste of many American candies, you may not like this.Dulces Vero is the largest hard candy and other sugar candy confectionary products in Mexico. It was founded over 50 years ago in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico by Angel Ibarra Davila. The company employs 5,000 people, so this is a large Mexican confectionary maker.The first lick of the candy is a bit shocking because it is covered -- and I mean covered -- in chili powder. If you can get past the shock of sucking on chili powder, you are rewarded with a delicious mango candy underneath.One of the nice things about these candies is that you really can only eat one at a time, and you will nurse the lollipop for a very long time. As a result, there is a lot of bang for your buck out of each pack of 40.The price for the two pack on Amazon is really great, and you get two bags of lollipops for about 50% more than you would pay for one bag anywhere else. We had never tried the watermelon version before, but I enjoyed that one more than the mango one.These are also really fun to give to unsuspecting teenagers who rifle through your shelves looking for candy.

Both so good! I had just the mango ones and my boyfriend always called them my nasty lollipops lol, until I got the watermelon ones he would rinse the chili off and now he’s grown to like it with the chili

These things are addictive! I wish they had the dipping kind. The mango was great but we thought the watermelon tasted like soap.

The vero mango are exactly as I grew up eating. One of my most favorite candies because of the sweet and spicy.I feel like the watermelon has recently changed. I buy these candies a couple times throughout the year and this time the watermelons chili coating was different. My kids and I noticed right away. We preferred the way it was originally to the way it is now but we still ate the whole bag. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It grows on you. I have a friend who wanted these and I ordered them. They are... surprisingly sour. It's not really a bad taste, and you can kind of get a hint of sweetness, but really it's more sour than hot. I'm not too big on sour, but my friend swears it will get better. I think it will.The packaging was perfect. Everything still whole and intact. If you need these (a lot of these!), purchase from here!

I have had these suckers before when I was younger. I loved them and was so excited when I saw these. But when they arrived there was a smell. They didn’t smell like they should. I tried to return them but to no avail. They couldn’t be returned. So I opened them going to give them a try. The suckers were dark brown and seemed stale. This was the worst candy I have ever had. They seemed to be coated in salt not chili powder. All it is, is a mouth full of salt not spice. They are so terrible I can’t eat them. I’m just going to have to throw them out. So hard to find any stores in Orlando that carry these lollipops! So to Amazon I must consult.Pro:-exactly what I expected and taste was spot on-expiration date on packages (2022)-she was delivered sooner than expectedCons:-none so far, we’ll see how it goes from here.

This is exactly as described. Same great taste! The price is right too. Don’t hesitate to buy. I need to hide some of these before I eat them all.
