Vinyl Coated Lace-Thru Weight

Vinyl coating is a good move
It's a lead weight, so there's really not much to say. I bought these mainly for the vinyl coating as I think having a more substantial barrier between you and the lead might reduce the risk of contamination and lead exposure. So far, it's a great product. After trying these out, I purchased more in the other sizes, and will take them with me locally, as well as for any travel where I'm not flying.

Best rigid dive weights
Sea Pearl weights are an excellent value and have held up perfectly. The coating on them looks brand new even after years of abuse. I use these in salt and freshwater and haven’t seen any corrosion. I just purchased an additional weight and it arrived promptly and well packaged. I wouldn’t buy any other rigid weight. Sea Pearls’ quality is top-level.

Looks like a good diving weight, BUT...
This looks and feels like a solid vinyl-coated weight, HOWEVER, if you are buying this for your rubber diving belt, beware: one of the two pass-through slots is extremely tight and will barely allow the rubber belt tongue to squeeze through (I just received the weight, and I've been trying for a while to no avail - I'll have to lube it and/or use a metal wire to pull the belt through it)The second slot has the perfect width for the rubber belt, so this is clearly an irregularity between the width of the two slots.A nylon belt wouldn't have any issues I imagine, but this is a big problem for a rubber belt. I might have been unlucky with this particular weight, maybe not all of them suffer from this defect, but at this price (and considering you need quite a few to build your weight set) I expect better. I have a trip coming up and won't have time to return it and get another, so I'll need to figure it out or buy from a store where I can try it. Anyhow, I hope this review helps others.

Didn't fit my rubber cressi belt
These are nice looking weights and probably would fit a nylon belt but 3 out of 4 weights I received didn't fit my rubber cressi belt. The vinyl coating and small holes combined to close up the gaps just enough that I couldn't even wiggle the belt with force into the slots.

Just a little extra weight, laces securely onto your tank strap
I need a total dive weight that is an odd number, and wasn't happy with unbalanced weight pockets (I know, I shouldn't be able to tell, but I could). This 1# weight goes on my tank strap and is small enough that I've never worried it might pull the strap open. It also stays on the strap between dives and when my BC is hanging up so I'm not going to lose it unless I really try.

Perfect weight
Great weight. It is actually 2lbs. Little pricey though. My only thing is the coating is a little rougher texture then what I thought. Does the job

Heavy, as expected
While the prices on Amazon were maybe a little higher than some of the large online scuba stores, the FREE SHIPPING with Amazon more than made up for the price difference. The 4 x 4 pound and 4 x 2 pound weights I ordered arrive quickly and, perhaps not surprisingly, are quite heavy. Like 24 pounds heavy?!?The Sea Pearl weights I purchased with both yellow and black coatings fit perfectly on both Cressi and XS Scuba nylon webbing belts. The textured finish on the black weights will hopefully make them less slippery than a smooth surface, so should be less prone to dropping on toes when wet.
