These lights are supposed to last for 50k hours and at 15 hours a day that should be about 9 years of use. I purchased six of these lights - two 300 watt and four 600 watt. One of the 600 watt lights burned out in a year and a half and now this 300 watt light burned out in a year and a half. While they work they are great, but the lifespan is not as advertised. BUT THE SELLERS REDUCED THE PRICE SO MUCH THAT THE LIGHTS ARE A GOOD DEAL. THEY WORK GREAT. - I RECOMMEND BUYING! My indoor house plants are in a dark spot where there are no windows and these lights are the only sun they get. The plants continue to thrive after several years. I have about a 15 ft x 12 ft area with about 15 house plants where I use three 600W lights. I have another dark area measuring 4 ft by 2 ft with 3 house plants and I have one 300W light in that area. I recommend these lights at this price. I am buying more now! :-)

I've been using the 300w version (actual 100w) for 4 weeks at 12hrs a day to start my indoor seedlings. It's doing good so far.
