Getting the right size was a wild guess- online there was no cup size choice, the XXS came with a small cup- in the pro shop at the rink they had XXS with peewee, XS, small cups- unfortunately they sold out prior to getting my kid there to try them on.Really measure kids waist- as the waist band in thick tight elastic and is a good indicator of fitMy son is 4.5 and wears 4T-5T bottoms, but we often struggle with wide waists as he is skinny. He's 3'2" and 39# and the XXS are perfect. Shorts are baggy on him but the waist is snug, but just what we needed as we have to clear tape his waistline to keep as his gear up. The small cup is big but he was okay with itHe will likely outgrow these within a year- could have likely pulled off a XS.Price online was = to our pro shop- so no savings there.

My son is wearing them. He’s a year ‘10 hockey player. He says he likes the way they feel. They aren’t uncomfortable to skate in and he really like the Velcro traps for his socks. He was tire of taping so his socks would stay up.I personally think they run big. He’s pretty thin and the waist and legs don’t fit snug. I would go a size down if you have a thin kiddo. Other than that I think they are great. He’s always found the cups to be uncomfortable and fights to wear one but this is working out.

Fits good and durable. Only issue that annoys my grandson is, I have to undo the Velcro tans for his hockey socks. They are super sticky so make sure you don’t get cheap socks off they will be shredded in short time.

We needed replacement compression hockey shorts for my son and we had to get them quickly as his season was starting. These arrived quickly and were just what we needed. These compression shorts do include the Velcro tabs for hockey socks. (I could not tell from the original pictures if the tabs were on the shorts, so I took a chance! I'm glad they were!)

I bought a size smaller because I was worried about them being to big to hold the cup but I could have gone with the correct size to last longer but they are great I will buy them again

I got these for my son for hockey. They fit well and hold up his socks really well. Only had them a week but they seem like solid compression underwear.
