Works OK with the app, but could not connect to an ONVIF compatibe recorder
The install was easy enough, and with the app the video was visible.A few detractors:- It seems the alarm from the speaker in the doorbell can't be turned off, and it sounds awful. I'd like for only the indoor doorbell to chime.- Video will needlessly be routed through severs in China.- No web interface for the camera, neither for accessing the video stream nor for accessing the configurations (e.g., create users or passwords for the video). The biggest issue was that the system would not connect to my recording solution (Surveillance Station). One issue was that the documentation did not match the system behavior (e.g., how to create passwords). In the end I sent it back and opted for a standalone camera and a classic doorbell.

Best doorbell without cloud storage!
Was looking for a doorbell without cloud storage. This was exactly what I was looking for. No monthly fees, and it comes with a 16gb sd card (expandable up to 128gb). Good quality audio and video.Installation: I had a solid red light during initial installation, and Amazon tech support wasn't able to help me troubleshoot (but they were quick to send me another one). I figured out it was due to low voltage with my doorbell wires (I have an old house). It advertises that it will work with a range of 8v-24v, but I had to upgrade my doorbell transformer to 16v. I would recommend having at least a 12v transformer, but if you're upgrading anyway, go for 16v.App: you can use any ONVIF compatible app, but not all of them support doorbell functions. I tried EZVIZ and HIK-CONNECT; HIK-CONNECT definitely had less latency and more functions.

Nelly Doorbell Does Connect with Synology NAS Surveillance Station Software
I have successfully installed and connected the Nelly's NSC-DB2 doorbell to Surveillance Station on a Synology NAS.There were a couple of confusing issues like finding the correct user name and password (reference Nelly's instructions on this carefully). Make sure to use ONVIF as the Brand. I also had to set an advanced setting within the Edit Device screen to get the Live View to work. I set the Streaming Information Source to "Streaming" instead of RTSP on the advanced tab.Once setup the doorbell and camera functions work really well. My doorbell is mounted 90 degrees to my front door so I do wish the horizontal view range was greater. My mechanical doorbell inside the home works well with the connection parts provided. It took some time to figure out the Guarding Vision phone application but it now does what I need it to do. The motion detector works well but the sound made on detection is annoying.Note that Nelly's tech people responded promptly when I emailed them with questions on the device's compatibility and password reset options.

Limited ONVIF Functionality, runs very hot
I bought this because there are very few doorbells with ONVIF streams, and this one has one. There is no way that I have found to handle doorbell functionality directly with ONVIF streams, though. You must create an account with a phone app and everything goes through the cloud. While I'm annoyed that I have to make yet another account for literally every device I purchase these days, it does provide the 24 hour on-premise video stream I want. One note of caution - it runs VERY hot, like almost burns your hand if you touch the back of it hot. I had it resting on its back when I was testing it and after a few hours it began boot looping, likely due to overheat as it hasn't done that ever when vertical.

Great doorbell cam, don’t look at any other products!!!
This doorbell is insanely great. No more Amazon and Google knowing what is going on at my house. Super creepy.Anyways, the product is packaged great, every thing you could possibly need to install is inside. The product install videos were spot on, had no problems installing.BONUS- connected it to my existing NVR, so know I have 24/7 audio and video recording on my own surveillance system. They have great support to help you do that.DOUBLE BONUS- connected it to HomeKit thru HomeBridge and now have a $140 doorbell cam working on HomeKit. It’s a dream, you Apple HomeKit people know what I’m talking about!

Best doorbell camera for those who don’t like cloud
Works great with Synology Surveillance after a few tweets. Been looking for this doorbell camera for a while. Very clear video during the day and awesome night vision.Setup was tricky but got it to work using both OnVIF and RTSP. Decided to stick with RTSP because it would not show on my PC using OnVIF even though it was successfully recording.PROs:- NO cloud required. Works with Synology.- better night vision than some of my other more expensive cameras- NO doorbell humming. Wife happy...- works with 802.11r mesh WiFi.CONs:- no browser interface to modify settings- have to use the router to set static IP- cannot change userID or password
