I prefer to make my won chisel handles, but these are really nice for my smaller and medium size files.They look good and the metal ferules help keep them from splitting apart when the tapered file tang is installed. I did manage to crack one by not paying attention to the grain of the wood--the file tang should be inserted so that the taper sits horizontally to the growth rings of the wood. to reduce the likelihood of a split and if the hole in the handle is too small, drill it out to accommodate the wider portion of the tang. I will likely purchase more of them.

I bought these for a granddaughter DIY project but 3 of the 12 did not have the hole filled deep enough to put in the screw. If you get these and want to attach something a 4 inch screw works best. She was disappointed when granddad had to use his drill to make some of them work.

These are nice simple wooden handles for your metal files. Good value for the price.

Great price. Fit on all my extra files. Drilled a hole on them to be able to hang on the pegboard.

Great value for the low cost. Will not fit large file 8" and larger.

Finally I have handles on all of my files, good quality, good value.
