Solidly built, easy to install, and nicely configurable
Three of these are deployed around our house and yard: one attached to the house near a patio, one on an outbuilding facing the house, and one in a tree viewing the garage and front of the house. Our goal was not just security, but also being able to safely check on the house during severe weather or when we're away. How many times have you gotten a few blocks from home and wondered, "Did I remember to close the garage door?" It's a common feeling, because the familiar task of backing the car out isn't something our brains bother to remember for long. The camera facing the front of the house lets us check on that rather than worrying or driving home to reassure ourselves that it's closed. These little cameras are solidly built and well-sealed against weather and insects, and the smooth housing resists dirt accumulation as well as any normal surface could. They're easy to install, with a standard female threaded insert at the center of the end opposite the lens. They come with pivoting ball-and-socket mountings, but you could substitute a custom mount with other hardware matching the threads on the device. The insert is molded deeply into the housing and is in no danger of coming loose without a lot of force. The image is surprisingly clear, although the wide-angle lens (typical for security cameras) trades detail for broader view. Night vision mode produces a reasonably good monochrome image, at the expense of battery consumption. Each camera can be configured to enable or disable this feature. The Eufy application on mobile devices is easy to set up and control and provides a decent variety of settings to customize the motion detection (or disable it if not needed), to control recording duration, to check on battery status, etc. There is an option to have motion detection on one camera cause additional cameras to record video for a programmed duration.Motion detection is fairly reliable and has per-camera settings for the viewport areas of interest. That's an important feature if you have a camera whose view includes a public road, sidewalk, etc., or an area where pets or other animals are frequently present. You probably don't want a video recording of every time your cat or dog walks past your patio door toward their water dish. :) have had very few false positives once I got the settings adjusted, but it does take some iteration to adapt to your environment. This is all done from the mobile app; no need to visit the cameras unless you want to tilt or pan them. The motion detection is great for knowing when the packages are dropped on the porch (etc.) but no one rings the doorbell. One minor annoyance is that mowing the yard will repeatedly trigger human detection alerts (as it should, technically) unless you snooze the motion detection from the mobile app. The app has the ability to snooze motion detection, alarms, or both, per camera and for any of several durations. The Eufy app allows remote access to your base station and cameras, using their servers as media relays (so your home Internet router doesn't have to allow the external connections directly onto your private LAN), but the data is all stored on your premises, in the base station. The cameras have no permanent storage, and Eufy says they do not collect the monitoring data. (I believe them, but customers of any online service should carefully read and evaluate the privacy policy and reputation of the company for themselves.)Battery life on our remote cameras has varied; the camera that has the most activity nearby unsurprisingly uses more power over time. I recharge all of them when any one is getting low, but you aren't required to do it that way.Our setup includes a wired Eufy electronic doorbell/camera unit and the base station. It has worked well for us, is easy to use and manage from both Apple and Android mobile devices, and we value the privacy of keeping our data on premises. Other brands that store the data in the cloud may share that data -- without a warrant -- with law enforcement agencies or others. We are quite willing to help the police investigate crime in our neighborhood, but we want to KNOW who is requesting our surveillance video and for what purpose. It's an issue of transparency. The documentation -- an often-overlooked product feature -- was not voluminous but was clear and easy to follow, so I had no trouble installing and configuring the system. Our base station is connected to the LAN by Ethernet cable, not by wifi, something I strongly recommend for the sake of reliability and for smoother video streaming. No special network setup was required; the base station makes an outbound connection to Eufy's proxy servers to register itself, and your mobile devices connect to Eufy's proxy rather than directly to your base station. This network design is typical of peer-to-peer multiplayer games, smart thermostats, and a few other applications. We have not significantly interacted with Eufy tech support, so I cannot rate that aspect of the product.Overall, these cameras and the system as a whole get five stars. It's easy to install and configure and it has worked well for us, doing everything we had in mind when we purchased the devices, and we have had multiple devices in service for over a year with zero hardware failures.

Great Cameras, Best Customer Service
After a ton of research and comparing, I decided to purchase a 4 camera kit when Amazon had a fantastic deal on the Eufy system. In researching, these seemed every bit as good as the Arlo's and Rings in which I both considered, as well as Blink. The Eufy system is much cheaper than Arlo and Ring and the fact I DO NOT have to pay for a cloud storage subscription makes them even more appealing. I received the 4 camera kit, and setup was a breeze! The system was up and running in a matter of minutes. After planning out where to put them around my home, and testing the WiFi coverage (which is great), I decided I needed 2 more cameras so I ordered them on sale from Amazon. Mounting the cameras was easy. Grab the camera, mount and your phone. Hold the camera where you think you want it, make sure it has a good WiFi signal, view it on your phone to make sure it provides you with a view you want, screw in the mount base, attach the camera mount and finally attach the camera. Adjust as needed. Mounting is done. Next, the app gives you the ability to test the motion sensitivity. You can walk around and see a red dot light up on the camera when it senses motion. Adjust it down or up to suit your needs. You can also fine tune the monitoring area. I've had the cameras up for about 4 weeks now and am impressed. The daytime video quality is awesome, very crisp and clear. The nighttime quality is about what I expected, clear enough in most cases. Ambient light definitely makes it a lot better. I have a streetlight out front, front porch and side door lights, so the cameras at the driveway, front porch, and side entrance are great at night while the ones in my pitch black backyard see less but have still been good enough to sense and make out some nighttime critters. So in short, I would definitely recommend these cameras. Time will tell how long the batteries last before I have to charge them. Removing them from their mounts, charging and re-attaching will be easy. I just need to drag out the ladder. Now for Eufy customer support. In short AMAZING! About 2 weeks after mounting the cameras, one of them began having flickering issues when in live view as well as recording. I submitted an email to Eufy support with an attached video so they could see what was happening and they replied the next day with some initial troubleshooting suggestions. When they did not fix the issue, Eufy sent me a pre-paid return label and agreed to replace the camera. I received a new camera in less than a week and the replacement thus far is working perfectly. The communication, responsiveness and resolution from support was fantastic and says a a lot about the company. I had a similar experience with an Anker blue-tooth speaker that had a problem and was replaced. Hopefully the cameras themselves hold up over time. As long as they do, I'll be a customer.I'd love to order the protective skins for these cameras but I'm having trouble swallowing the price. $15.99 for 2 and I need 6. Seems a little expensive IMO.

Works well, very long battery life, great video.
This has been a pretty good product and after a couple weeks the "one year" battery is only down to 95%!The motion detection is somewhat inconsistent and falling snow is definitely a challenge, but overall I have three of these outdoor cams and the video doorbell ( plus two indoor pan and tilt cams ) and everything works pretty well and was SUPER EASY to set up. Thinking of getting one more outside cam to get a better view of license plates in the driveway than the doorbell is providing.I can tell you it is a HUGE relief to be at work and have a look-in on my dogs at home and see that everything is A-OK.

Great quality camera at great price
I always wanted to set up cameras around the outside of my house. I selected Eufy because of the Reasonable prices, the positive reviews and the fact that the cameras were wireless and cordless, with six and 12 months between charging. Installation was a breeze and the results are wonderful. I can control the sensitivity of the cameras, alerts, zones for motion detection, etc. all from apps on my phone or iPad. My only complaints are minor: there’s no app/program for my iMac desktop computer and while the Apple Watch provides alerts, it would be convenient if I could activate/deactivate the cameras from the Watch (as when I’m doing yard work in the back but don’t have my iPhone with me). I can’t wait to see what other home security products come from this company.

Completely wirelss!
I've waited a long time for a completely wireless and affordable security camera system. They have done it. I added 2 of these to the basic 2 camera/base station kit. They added easily. and with this base station there is no on going monthly payments. You are in complete control of your data and money! The geo tracking system is nice to have. It does take a few minutes to flip over but it does. I have had the system installed for a month now. after installing and playing around for a day I then recharges the batteries. A month later they appear to be fully charged. I have the base station connected wirelessly and it has no problem connecting to all 4 cameras.

Surveillance without monthly fees
Pros - affordable, no monthly fees, can download video to your phone, no wiring needed for cameras, video quality. Cons - motion detection delays result in capturing and transmission delays causing some missing key images, not continual monitoring, add on cameras have to be ordered (bought original at Costco), night vision only works if there is another source of light.
