They are the always good fitting Roper boot
I am a long time wearer of Justin Boots. While I do own other brands of Western style boots, Justin is my "go-to" brand. The boots I ordered this time are a somewhat special style. They are the always good fitting Roper boot, but with one important difference: a high riding heel. Ropers usually come with a normal height heel. But a slight back problem I have is eliminated with riding heels. The boot was inspired by various Texas police departments who wanted a western style dress boot, but more in line with dress uniform requirements of a rounded toe. You will not find these particular boots listed on-line or in most catalogs. I learned about them while in a boot store in Dallas. The upper leather takes a clean and perfect military shine; excellent in all cases. The Vibram sole is non slip...really good. The size was completely as marked: 11EE. They are a high boot at 12" and I do like that. Completely devoid of stitch design, the boot named the Trooper, is professional looking for what ever you are wearing.

Wish I were a real cowboy with these boots
Took me nearly two weeks to break these in just right. But now they are broken in and oh how sweet it is. Leather quality seems great, better than some dress shoes that I have and I love the finish. The stitch work is also just "subtle" enough for my taste and even my mother complimented them. Great boots, wish I had done this sooner. Risky that I did it over the internet but I did A LOT of research to make sure these boots were going to form to my feet. I normally wear size 10.5's and got these in 9.5 and the leather stretched and is now form fitted to my feet and they feel like custom boots. The angle of slip of the heel is perfect as well, it doesn't seem like I'm about to slip out of the boot but it slips just enough so I can take steps comfortably. My S.O. is now thinking about getting a pair of her own as well.

They look so good and will make you feel like a million bucks
Hellllo Rick Grimes fans. This boot is the closest thing I could find to the boots that Rick Grimes wears in The Walking Dead. They look so good and will make you feel like a million bucks, or Rick Grimes, whichever you prefer. As far as boots go, these are on the lighter side in terms of color. If you've never tried on a pair of boots before, go to a local store and try some on to understand how they fit. Pretty much all leather boots like these you want to purchase 1/2 size small than normal. The leather breaks in and comforms to your foot. After about 2 weeks these become very comfortable.

Great basic Justins--BEWARE THE SIZING!
I have worn boots, including Justin Boots, for decades. Bought these for our adult son for Christmas. These are very nice, basic Western boots. They are casual enough to wear with jeans, but dressy enough to wear with a coat and tie. Our son loves them. Amazon's listing says that they're made in the U.S., but they are not--they're crafted in Mexico, per a tag in the boot. Not an issue, since a lot of good boots, including these, are crafted south of the border. Though I have said that these "fit as expected," that is a qualified statement. The wide boots (EE) fit exactly like a medium boot (D) should fit. They "fit as expected" because I first bought the D width, which our son had to struggle mightily to get over his heel, only to find that they were extremely narrow. Our son has NEVER worn a wide shoe in his life. Since he liked them so much I returned the D width and reordered the same boot in the EE width, and they fit great.

Great alternative to the Pilot Roper
Fantastic uniform boots! Holds a high gloss inspection shine right out of the box and only needed a 2 day break-in period. Sole and cowboy heel provide a nice stance, great cushion and oil resistant traction. Only reason for not rating 5 star is the arch support could be more pronounced. Inserts solve my high arch problem but might require buyer to go up a half size for fit. 12" barrel shaft is soft enough to allow normal ankle socks without chaffing but boot socks are the norm. Could be considered airport-friendly through many magnetometers I have tried. Very happy with the purchase and highly recommended for the professional pilot or other uniformed service.

could be just cause new or poor quality control
pay close attention who you're buying from as there is the outfit i bought from that claimed i was buying a USA product, Solely Comfort Footwear. This is not the case! these are a Mexico product. my stupidity for paying waaay more than i should've, not worth the return BS. They fit decent although one is a touch tighter in the instep area?? could be just cause new or poor quality control?? who knows. Not much is made in great quality anymore!decent all purpose boot, cant go wrong with the bay apache.

He then tried them on for fun, looked at himself in a full length mirror
I purchased these boots for my son's 13th birthday. He has never had his feet in cowboy boots before and only wears skate shoes. When he opened the box on his birthday morning, he laughed and thought it was a joke. He then tried them on for fun, looked at himself in a full length mirror, and liked what he saw. We all agreed that he was a good looking cowboy. My son wore the boots all day on a dare and out to dinner that night. He said they felt a little weird since he was not use to wearing boots, but also said they were comfortable. When we arrived at the restaurant, we came across his best friend who noticed immediately that my son was wearing cowboy boots. My son thought he was going to be made fun of but instead his friend told my son that he looked really good in boots. My son even sat down and let his friend try on the boots since his friend had never worn cowboy boots either. My son now prefers the cowboy look and wears his boots everywhere, even to school. He has also purchased two more pairs of boots. His friend also went out and cowboy'd up with his own boots. They both wear nothing but boots at school now and get compliments all the time. Skaters to cowboys, they both looks awesome.
