Swimbuds Flip Headphones and 8 GB SYRYN Waterproof MP3 Player with Shuffle Feature (Renewed)

This is the best thing I’ve gotten on Amazon even after purchasing 2 high quality MP3 players. The sound of this thing are incredible. I’ve never heard sound like that out and underwater. Truly amazing, it’s super easy easy to use and set up. Love love love it.

I bought these back in March and was hoping to give them a whirl and a great review...and, frankly, would have if it were not for the earphones working intermittently and the battery life dropping off recently (March 20 to Oct 20) as I increased usage. Once you figure out how to load the tunes, it is pretty straight forward. The sound is as good as you can expect for underwater and easily lasted from 30 to 60 minute swims. Then the one ear bud stopped working...directions indicate tapping the water out works part of the time...then the battery began to fall off. Perhaps its due to the refurbish that I bought. One side note, I emailed the company (“info” first and someone redirected me to the “help” section) and they never got back to me. Shame as this is a game changer for swimmers.Update: Jan 2021. I revised my rating from a 2 to 4 stars. A rep contacted me and, after a brief exchange, they sent me a new pair of waterproof headphones. After several months, the new set appears to be working still. I don’t know what else is out there but the company came back and provided some excellent service. I recommend these to fellow swimmers. Next I’ll have to figure out how to upload a book!

Easy to use and the sound quality is acceptable

I’ve owned two of these swimmer’s MP3 players. They are cheap and work, but frustratingly so. The problems are twofold. There are only three control buttons that serve combined functions. On both units often it takes repeated poking and/or pressing to get the device to turn on or off. That same button controls whether the device is or isn’t in shuffle mode or is paused, and I never know what’s it’s going to do or is doing. The second problem is that if you load more than one CD or play list, all number “1” tracks play first, all number “2” play next, etc. When the unit is apparently in shuffle mode sometimes the same song will play 2 or 3 times in a row. The ear buds seal perfectly and the sound is fine - particularly with all the ambient noise of swimming. As I said, this player is cheap and some tunes while doing laps are better than none.

I flipping love this thing! I bought one to take to the Caribbean to wear on the beach and while snorkeling. Total game changer! I was listening to the Dead while snorkeling around a reef all day and it lasted so long that I got sunburned. I had such an incredible experience that I bought four of them for my friends to use when we went to Costa Rica and we all had life changing experiences. I can’t over emphasize how amazing snorkeling while listening to Jerry Garcia play the guitar is... Buy one!

good product sound decent. I can enjoy music and swim more laps.
