Bought this to hang the bulb a little bit lower in a pendant light with a big shade. Works fine.

It was perfect for my kitchen to extend the light bulb.

Have not had them long so really don't know.But Do Know that they are UL Listed,This Is A Good Thing...They make sure the correct plastic is used for the product and that it is made to code or a safe standard.Beware of Products that are not UL or CE listed as I bought a set of these from another sell/brand that where not UL listed and after a few years the plastic turned brown and fell apart in the socket! Very dangerous and could have caused a fire!I had to use needle nose pliers to remove it...I thought everything was UL Listed / not so in China !!!

Work great. I live in a house where the previous owners put in those pot lights. I don't like them because it takes 10 to do the work of one hanging bulb. The room is too dark. I bought several packs of these and put them in the pot lights in various places and it extends the light just enough that the bulb peeks through and lights up the room brightly. Now I only need two in the kitchen instead of the 12 pot lights, and the room is brighter and happier looking! Also, the bulbs burn out quickly in a pot light condition - personally I think they get too hot - and this seems to save them from me losing so many. These plus the LED bulbs and you can't go wrong, saving money at the same time!
