Miffy At The Playground

Simple but captivating for very young children

Daughter enjoyed them as a toddler - buying for grand- daughter. Large simple pictures appeal to 8+ month old baby but text is too long. We flip through pages with baby and simplify the story.

At first I was disappointed with these books, they seemed rather old- fashioned and a bit dull. I remembered using them a lot when I first started teaching in the 1970's. However, my 3 year old granddaughter absolutely loves them and can tell the stories herself. She loves Miffy so much that I am going to buy a couple more while they are available. I hope they will be reprinted because even today they are still loved.

The whole family always (and still does) enjoy the Dick Bruna classics. I grew up with Miffy and it's nice now that my children can too! They make reading fun. My 2.5 year old now recalls each page from memory before I've even read it to her!
