Thoroughly impressed
The media could not be loaded. First off, I live in Arizona, and it’s the time of year where 115-120 degrees is a daily occurrence. In my LS3 swapped genesis coupe, I have a Mishimoto aluminum radiator, a uniq performance fan shroud, previously 2x Mishimoto fans rated at 1150cfm each, as well as a 160 degree thermostat and 50/50 mix of off brand dexcool. After several frustrating tries at bleeding the coolant, from all angles of incline, I was defeated, as I cammed the motor myself and was sure I didn’t botch the head gasket install (wasn’t my first time assembling an LS motor). I soon realize the Mishimoto fans were set up to push, so I reversed them since they are reversible, and they pulled. Temps still soared passed 220 at idle, although a lot slower than before (mind you I had a 160 degree thermostat). I started to question the efficiency of the radiator, but a friend of mine, who also LS swapped the same vehicle, was using the same one. He wasn’t even using a shroud! He told me he had 2 of these 12” SPAL fans, so reluctantly I purchased two from Amazon, knowing if it didn’t solve my issue, Amazon would happily refund me. After installing these SPAL fans, and setting the fans to come on at 174*F via HPTuners, the temps would hold at 178*F, and the highest I’ve seen coolant temps was 180*F, and was on a 120*F day in Arizona, idling in my driveway for 20min tuning, with intake temps reaching 160*F!!!! These fans are legit. My only gripe is they aren’t truly 12”, I would guess them to be at least 13” fans, so some modification was needed for them to fit my setup. I have provided proof of temps, as well as a sound clip sound clip of how loud they are. They aren’t loud enough to annoy me, but there is no mistaking that they are on. It comes down to personal preference. I highly recommend these fans, they are very powerful.

noisy
I installed 2 of these on my 1998 LS swapped Chevy s10 which has a LQ9 installed. The original fans that Superior Radiator installed would not keep the engine less than 230 degrees F with the AC running. The SPAL fans will definitely work in maintaining the coolant temp of 185 Degrees F. in my 6.0L S10. Other than the loud air flow noise that's my only complaint. I can live with that. I have 30 amp fuses also.

Great product
Works great on my boosted k24 swapped civic had numbers in the 215’s and sometimes higher with the aftermarket fan that comes with radiator. Now I stay in the 190’s at the most.

Very powerful, with low amp draw
I have this on a 30 amp circuit as my "High" temp setting fan and it works great. You know it comes on, but not terribly loud, and does an excellent job at knocking temps down. Thanks for the quality Spal.

Great fan
Using 2 of them in my 92 Camaro with LS2. One of them pulls down the temps from 210 to 190 in the matter of 10 seconds~ on a 80deg day.Much better than the ebay crap I had on

Awesome fans.
Awesome fans. The move a LOT of air. Can be used on many applications since they are universal fitment. They are very well built. Not Chinese junk.
