That said, my comments have not been influenced by this.The smart strip lights arrived on time the next day and were well packed. The contents include 5 metres of strip lights, a power plug, connector cable, and a remote with battery. Set up is straightforward. You need to follow the instructions to trigger the lights to flash first for subsequent device recognition within the Smart Life app. The trigger to make the lights flash is easy to do via a quick "in-out-in-out-in" sequence of the plug. Instructions are clear.Controlling the lights is easy and can be done from the remote, the app, or via voice using Alexa or Google. There are brightness and speed options along with colour and gradient changes available on the remote. Within the app, you can apply scenes (that can be user edited) and even set schedules. Alexa/Google can be used to turn on/off with the last options selected. Alexa/Google routines can also be defined to set when the lights turn on, what colour is set, and how bright the lights should be. I use Alexa and have not tested with Google.Where you use this is up to your imagination. It could be behind a TV, around a mirror, under kitchen cabinets or work desks etc. With Christmas approaching, it's clearly a fun item for children, and the lights could be placed near a Christmas tree on the floor or around doors in a bedroom. The photo shows a cyan colour in a small bedroom, but there are many other colour and brightness options. Cycling through colours on a repeating loop is another favourite.The strip lights are good value and inexpensive. Currently £24 with a £5 voucher reduction available for 5 metres of strip lights that stick well, the product comes highly recommended.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  After having brought 2 other sets of LED Strip lights from different manufacturers and having to return 1 set because they stopped working after only a week of using them, and the other set because they were just bad quality LED's, I thought I would give this set from TECKIN a go and I am so glad I did !!They are great, I wanted some LED's to put behind my TV just to finish off ( and to show off my new TV ) my man room/cave and they fit the bill perfectly, they give off a nice coloured glow mounted behind the TV with the 3M sticky back tape that's already applied to the LED's !!! Not only does this set have a good remote control but there is also the option to download the Smart Life App ( from Apple App store or Google App store ) so you can control the lights from your Smart phone or Tablet !! There are so many different colour's to chose from and also the option to set the LED's from a static colour or select from one of the other settings ( flash, strobe, fade or smooth ) with smooth being my favorite setting !!Setting up the Smart Life app on my Iphone took minutes, just make sure you set it up using your 2.4GHz wifi network and not a 5GHz network !!!Only 1 problem is that I now need to buy a second set as my son wants a set for his computer setup in his bedroom lol

I'm using these lights as a background lighting effect behind the TV in the living room. The effect is really nice. I'm pleased with the results.Installation was easy and quick. The lights have a super sticky adhesive strip and you simply cut the lights to the exact size you require. In total, I took about 10 minutes to set up.I'm using my lights with my non Alexa smart hub (yes the other one). I used the free downloadable app and was able to pair the lights to my smart hub in a few minutes.I'm happy with my purchase. The lights are super bright and look great behind the TV. Lots of colours and effects to choose from. I would recommend these lights.

Bought these for our kitchen. Setting them up on the WiFi was the first hurdle. The instruction manual and the app were saying two totally different things, neither of which worked. Ended up finding a YouTube video with a totally different method which worked. The colours are lovely and linking with Alexa was easy. The second hurdle was installation.If you’re buying these to put up in one strip, they’re fine. We, however, needed to get around a corner and so decided to use the connectors that come with the kit. We bought two packs so had 4 connectors to hand. Not one has worked. We’ve ended up cutting down the LED strips to the point where we can’t cut any more, used all four clips and even became experts on how to undo the little buggers so that we could have another go. The best we could achieve was getting some colours to come through, but never all. So now we’re stuck with 2/3 of our kitchen done because we couldn’t get the third (cut) strip to work through the connector. Hours wasted for a product that would have taken 10 minutes to install if it wasn’t for the useless connectors.

I'd been looking into some LED lighting for a while, my girl has a bunk bed set up with a desk and sofa bit underneath but it was always just a bit dim, these lights do just the job of brightening it up. The built in Alexa control is a complete plus, she loves this extra control. The lights are nice and bright and the colours are vibrant. She is happy, therefore I am happy. I recommend this product.
