Organic Heirloom Tomato

I don’t understand why a lot of the produce is being sold by unit instead of lb but every time I need to order something that is I regret it. They gave me the tiniest tomato it weighed in at 1/3 of what the estimated weight per tomato was and it was also rock hard not ripe at all. I don’t know what use a single tomato of that size would be for anything or why if they only had tiny ones they couldn’t do multiple to get to the estimated weight.

I have ordered these 2 times and both times they arrived over ripe, squishy and soft ( didn't last more than 24 hrs, I think it is more the shopper who doesn't know how to select a tomato that the actual heirloom tomato. Usually love Heirlooms, looks like I will have to go to the market myself to buy

The tomato the delivery person picked was very yellow, which took me by surprise.Left it in some rice for a couple days to see if it would ripen. Did not make much of a difference.So I told myself, well might as well try it. The fact that it was yellow didn't make it taste any less tomato - it was quite good for being store bought. Expensive but organic tomatoes usually are, and usually taste significantly better than normal tomatoes.I was raised on garden tomatoes, so I don't mind paying extra to get something halfway decent. It of course doesn't touch a garden tomato but I was pretty happy with it regardless.

One thing you need to emphasize when place your order is that you want your shopper to get large firm tomato’s

Too green heirlooms, will need to wait another week for them to ripen and hope they won't rotten before then. The original picture looks so mouth watering and then you receive green heirlooms that's nothing like the picture. Frustrated amd disappointed. I hope it was just a bad luck.

Not what I expected or hoped for.. Will update if taste makes up for odd oversized grape shapes.

The tomatoes were very small with no taste.

Slice tomato, poor some olive oil and kosher salt over it. Let it sit for 20 minutes or so. Buy a fresh sourdough bread. toast it. Put some mayo on it. Put the marinated tomato over it. Life changed.
