Repetitive but fun
It follows the show fairly well. It can get a little repetitive but still fun.

A great, addictive RPG for AoT fans
I never got to play the original game A.o.T Wings of Freedom (which only covers Season 1 of AoT) so cannot compare the two, but from the hours I've spent playing this I have enjoyed it loads. However, it can get repetitive, but if you know the anime (or manga) there isn't much you can do besides fighting titans. Despite its repetition, it does keep things fresh with new features constantly added to the combat. Using the ODM takes a bit of getting use to, but once you've figured it out you can better handle the titans. You can fight alongside others, directing them to attack, support or heal you during fights, all the while you need to make sure your fuel doesn't deplete or your blades aren't damaged, bearing in mind you also have limited fuel and blades too, meaning bases are needed to resupply. There really is a lot going on in combat, and is most intense and challenging when you are surrounded by multiple titans. This covers both season 1 and 2 of the anime, and unlike the previous game you get to create your own scout and interact with the main characters from the anime. Like previously said, they accompany you out into titan territory and fight alongside you. You can also build friendships with each character, give them gifts and take them on additional missions. Some of the scenerios you find yourself in can be amusing when building your relationships. You get to travel between areas such as the barracks or training ground when you're not in th field, here is where you can access more features and interact with characters. My only issue, is after each dialogue you are automatically taken back to the barracks, regardless of where you were before. This can get tedious when several interactive characters are in another area. Crafting is good, although slow at getting new or upgrading equipment.Of course, in terms of an RPG it's very limited, but the fast paced action really makes up for it. Personally it can get very addictive and I find it fun to play. You'll soon find yourself ignoring all the flaws. I should also mention its only voiced by the Japanese cast, so no English (except in menus and subtitles of course). There are online features such as co-op and competitive gameplay, haven't tried it yet so cannot comment n it.

Fun game but levels are repetitive
Fun game but levels get repetitive. It recaps season 1 again through its levels before going into season 2. On the plus side of this though you get to create your own character and you play through their (your) eyes.Character creation has various options.Levels seem to repeat themselves with slightly different objectives. The level difficulty is quite easy and then outta no where it gets hard (thankfully theres a difficulty level setting, that damn female titan ruin me).Getting items to upgrade your weapons and what not can be a bit of a grind.

Almost 5 star
Almost got a five, it is better then the first game, you can make your own character and live in the anime, make freinds and go on missions. As petty as it sounds tho it’s let down due to it’s not having dubbed. It’s a fast oases game so you can’t always read subtitles when flying about killing titans.I also think adding more to home base and having romance with characters would be cool.

Enjoyable
I feel like Attack on Titan 2 game is a lot harder than the last game and the controls can be quite frustrating at times but it is enjoyable as there is a lot more to the game, including character interactions and an expansion in the number of missions you can do. I just feel like the controls make it a bit more awkward compared to the last game, which I think were more simpler and made the game more enjoyable.

More of the same but better
AOT 2 is pretty much the first game with character creation and some other quality of life improvement. If you skipped the first game then definitely pick this one up as it is quite fun but if you’ve already played the first game then you may have to sit through a lot of the same before you get to the newer parts of the story.
